It was NWN red 3-0 until they went 1 man down, then Eastside scored, then NWN went 2 men down, and Eastside scored again.....interesting that this was a friendly and the Eastside coach kept all of his players on the field instead of trying to match up when NWN had injuries.  Weird idea of "friendly" if  you ask me......

Isn't the idea of a friendly to get your players some game time?  If you pull your players, they don't get playing time.  Kinda defeats the whole point.
Besides, the score is not important at all in a friendly.

Ain't that just the truth!  I thought it was a great, clean friendly between two skilled teams.  It's actually a great thing, developmentally, for a team to play down, especially when they are up 3-0.  It's gives them that much more experience on the field in battling for the ball.  Remember, it's the experience that will make them better-not the score.  Well done to both teams and both sets of parents for a well played, well-watched game.

WPFC White- Sparta 93 (1-0)

Fairly even match played in a cold down pour Sunaday AM. White scored on a pretty breakaway from a through ball from the keeper. Defender on her hip, keeper comming out and ball placed high corner.
 
Both teams had a few other chances. Just didnt finish.

IMHO WPFC controled 60-40

I, for one, have always enjoyed games against Eastside.  It was nice on Saturday to chat with several of the parents during the game.  I also know theat DD enjoys playing them because she must bring her game to a high level.  What more can you ask for, a nice day, kids playing a game they love and parents having fun watching???
