KING 5 Weather
Tuesday will be another sunny and cold day with highs only getting into the upper 20s and low 30s.
Winds are finally decreasing over the northern counties.
A developing storm moving out of British Columbia will spread increasing clouds into the state this evening. A chance of snow will develop after midnight Tuesday night.
This may start as rain along the coast and a mix of snow rain and freezing rain over southwestern Washington.
The front will move through around mid morning.
The snow could turn to rain briefly especially in the south Sound but should change back to snow as another blast of cold air will begin to move in from British Columbia.
This will also increase the winds in the northern counties again by Wednesday night.
High pressure will move in again on Thursday ending the snow flurries during the morning but bringing another round of very cold dry air into western Washington.
Sunshine and very cold temperatures will continue on Friday and Saturday with highs only in the mid to upper 20s and lows in the teens. On Sunday another system moving down the British Columbia coast should give us another round of snow during the day turning to just a few snow flurries on Monday.
Computer models are now indicating dry weather for the middle part of the week next week with slowly moderating temperatures. Highs should warm up into the mid 30s by around Christmas day but there may still be a chance of a little snow to end the week.
