Steelers vs. Cardinals Super Bowl BABY!!
« on: January 28, 2009, 12:50:04 PM »

Is it too early to start the trash talk about how the Steelers will be winning their 6th Super Bowl?  I was feeling very confident about the Steelers chances even after I listened to all the NFC West Hype this morning on the drive to work regarding the Cards and how they are the "hot" team right now.   :o

The Steelers seem like they should be the team to beat. But it seems like every time there is an obvious favorite in the Super Bowl, the other team finds a way to make it interesting. (Remember the Raiders vs Tampa)

I'm picking the Cards. Just because they shouldn't have won any of their games in the playoffs, yet here they are!  ;D

Pittsburg should win but the Cards will pull it out for ANOTHER upset.

That's why I'll be pulling for the Cardinals.  The circus that was SB XL makes it hard for me to ever pull for the Steelers.

I totally agree with all the disgruntled Hawk Fans and certainly wouldn't be sad to see the Cards win.  However, life goes on and I won't be hating the new Stee's coach for all he's done with the team.  Don't get me wrong, I will NEVER watch a broadcast that has Bill Cower/Jerome Bettis on the screen with their big fat SP XL Rings, but for some reason i just like the Stee's this time around. Maybe it has something to do with that whinning T.O wannabe A. Boldin?

I sat and wracked my brains for hours trying to think of another sports franchise that I despised as much as the Steelers, I couldn't. The modern day Cowboys were close, but couldn't hold a candle to the Steelers. The Lakers ? Much closer than the Cowboys, but still, no cigar. My favorite footballs teams have always been the Seahawks, and ANYONE playing against the Steelers. My favorite basketball team has ALWAYS been the Portland Trailblazers, and any team playing the Steelers. My favorite soccer team has ALWAYS been Man U (who else is there after all?) and anyone playing the Steelers. See a pattern ?

Go Kurt Warner !!!! (I won't even be able to watch the Superbowl because I hate the Steelers so much, kinda sad isn't it?)

4 blocks from Harmony (if that's where you're playing) is a great McMenamin's Pub. Awesome beer and the best fries in town. We even have TV's now in Vancouver,,,,  ;D

I was thinking about taking a drive out to see this game anyway. Hope I don't break down or get a flat tire in front of the pub,,,,,

That's an easy one..........

go to E-Bay some day and look for a baseball card for a Steve Kline, Yankees pitcher in the early 70's. He sits right behind me.

can't be born in 72, he played for the Yankees in 73. Had to be born, I'm guessing 48 ?

this one, it's this guy. The right handed pitcher born in Wenatchee. He sits on the trading floor w/me. Good guy. My dad was a HUGE Mickey Mantle fan when I was a kid. Everytime the Yankees w9ould play the A's we'd go, and my dad hated the A's. But he wanted to Mickey Mantle. So I guess I'm a Yankees fan because of MM.

That's an easy one..........

Yankees, Lakers, Raiders, and for the love of Pete when will coach K retire from Duke!!  And remember it wasn't the stee's that called those terrible holding fouls on the O Line, the mystery offensive pass interference on Djack, it was the officials.   :P

I will be rooting for the Cards......Once the Steelers cover the spread.   ;D
If you're going to add college to the mix........BYU will always be on my $%^& list.  Grrrrrrr. >:(

I still have my Husky shirt that was supposed to be NT for national title and soon became NT, for No Title  :P
