Quick note on the WSA vs timbers game. Should be a heck of a game... Only losses of the year for timbers happens to be WSA, and WSA only has 3 losses all year, 2 of them to eastside white and 1 to Timbers blue. So out of the 5 losses these two teams have 3 are to each other. What a fun matchup. Also in my rankings I have timbers 20 and WSA 21, so you can't get much closer, this game could really go either way and Whoever wins claims #20 in my poll.

If it is straight up, it will be WSA.
If Timbers pull kids from the A team and the U13 team, Timbers.
Bottom line is that until State Cup it does not matter because with the player pass you do not know who is playing where.
PDL Player pass is a great idea, but too many teams and or clubs use it for competitive advantage rather than player development.

So if a team uses the player pass because a player is sick or injured are they still using it for the competitive advantage?

And if im not mistaken WSA just picked up a player good enough to be on an A team... just something i heard through the grapevine.

Here are the facts:

WSA United 96 won 2-0 in pool play and 1-0 in the finals against CPSC Timbers Blue in the Copa Division of the Rainer Challenge. All 14 of the rostered girls played. They did not have any guest players play in the Rainer Challenge.

WSA United 96 lost 1-2 to the CPSC Timbers Blue in the finals in the Silver Division of the Chinook Cup. 2 of the rostered girls were not available to play any game during the tournament and 1 rostered girl was not available for the quarters, semis or final games. Due to the fact that they only had 12/11 players available WSA United 96 had the "picked up player" guest play and a player from the WSA United 97 for the Chinook Cup.

WSA United 96 had an open roster spot and wanted to bring the "picked up player" onto the team however she had made a commitment for the fall season and she honored that commitment. She was available for the spring season and Challenge/Championship Cup. My understanding is that one of the WSA/FCV Glory coaches also knew her and brought her in to play and she will be playing for both of the teams.

I can think of 3 games during the fall season where the teams they played had A team players play against the WSA United 96. The reason for that is not known to me however I know the United 96 enjoy the challenge. I hope that they play up to their potential this weekend and beyond as I'm sure any fan of the game does. As it was said before it should be one heck of a game. ;D

It will be straight up this weekend.  I believe the Timbers roster is full with no expected absences.  This will be a great game regardless of the outcome.  Two very good teams meeting on the field.

Tier 3:
Whatcom vs Dos
Eastside white vs Crossfire black  First meeting of these two teams all year and it's about time.  Crossfire has had the braging rights of being the number 1 B team in the State for two years now.  Will their reign finally end against Eastside FC White or do they need to line it up against the Columbia Timbers Blue, game time is 11 at Preston
Westsound vs HPFC

That was a nice shot at both Timbers U12 teams....
But, if it makes you feel better go for it  ::)

Look at the Glory vs. Timbers Red, and United vs. Timbers Blue.  Any given day, depending on who shows up.

IMO, forget the lame insults, and let's cheer on the teams

The closer to the weekend the less I think it will be straight up for 1 reason. I don't know about the rest of the state, however down here in vancouver we have some epidemic or something going around. In just about every middle school today I was hearing of between 100-300 kids absent. I'm hoping everyone will be healthy this weekend for both teams, but its starting to get less likely as I'm seeing more and more kids go home sick. Its actually really sad.

Eastside white vs Crossfire black  First meeting of these two teams all year and it's about time.  Crossfire has had the braging rights of being the number 1 B team in the State for two years now.  Will their reign finally end against Eastside FC White or do they need to line it up against the Columbia Timbers Blue.

It's still Crossfire, EFC failed to bring their B game let alone their A game.  Poor passing and poor first touch on the ball by EFC failed to give Crossfire a challenge.  It was Crossfire 2-0.

Here is a thought on the Tier 1 predictions going into yesterday. Of the 21 predictions logged by 7 posters 17/21 were called incorrectly. All six teams tied in some very hard fought games. So there are days when a tie is darn good at this level of play. Its not the result a team is looking for but can be a testimonial to a well played match...

It will be straight up this weekend.  I believe the Timbers roster is full with no expected absences.  This will be a great game regardless of the outcome.  Two very good teams meeting on the field.

Good perspective!

WSA United 96 wins 4-1! My understanding is that the Timbers had 3 girls from their A team playing due to injury/illness. Looked like the Timbers had 16-17 girls there today. United 96 had 4 girls injured/ill but they all played. I guess this ansers the question of who should be ranked where. United 96 is playing real well and we are all so proud of them!

Nice job Harbor!

I will assume you are asking me this question BK and not putting down the result. Sorry for not putting in more detail. I am out of town for the next 6 weeks and I am having a difficult time following along on my iphone. My darn fat fingers make it hard to type of these small keyboards.

Back to the question! I think a tie is a better result for Harbor than it is for WPFC, since WPFC is ranked higher and everyone except me picked WPFC to win!

So a Good Job Harbor seems appropriate!
