It will be straight up this weekend.  I believe the Timbers roster is full with no expected absences.  This will be a great game regardless of the outcome.  Two very good teams meeting on the field.

Good perspective!

The closer to the weekend the less I think it will be straight up for 1 reason. I don't know about the rest of the state, however down here in vancouver we have some epidemic or something going around. In just about every middle school today I was hearing of between 100-300 kids absent. I'm hoping everyone will be healthy this weekend for both teams, but its starting to get less likely as I'm seeing more and more kids go home sick. Its actually really sad.
WSA United 96 wins 4-1! My understanding is that the Timbers had 3 girls from their A team playing due to injury/illness. Looked like the Timbers had 16-17 girls there today. United 96 had 4 girls injured/ill but they all played. I guess this ansers the question of who should be ranked where. United 96 is playing real well and we are all so proud of them!
Way to go WSA!  ;D

Tier 1:
"harbor vs WPFC (1-0) Go Harbor!
I have to go with my adopted team! "

 ;D ;D ;D  YOU are soo cool 96 O0
Nice job Harbor!

nice job on a 0-0 tie?

Looks like ties was the popular score in tier one this weekend.

Eventhough the result was a 0-0 tie (Harbor-WPFC). For anyone that was there, who played better? Does anyone have a recap?

Timbers had exactly ONE girl from the Reds.  She has been getting minimal time with the Reds, and this was to help her get some touches (which is the point of the player pass).  She didn't take anyone's minutes, as a few were sick, and she played less than 20 minutes.

This is the 2nd time that someone affiliated with WSA has made a comment about the sharing of players with the Timbers.  Correct me if I am wrong, but did the United not have a girl play for them today that just came off a local U13 select team after their Commish Cup ended, and did that player not play for the Glory yesterday?

Must be bullet-proof glass in that glass house, or the stones might stay in the bag.

Great job WSA United 96 with your win today against the Timbers with a win of 4-1.  Not only did you all travel yesterday to Seattle and played great you came back again today and played wonderful.  We are very proud of you all, and especially to our girls that have been feeling under the weather!!!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D

Ok so Timbers manager informs our coaches that 3 of their Reds are playing due to Blues injuries/illness so maybe the other 2 didn't play no big deal ;D

I always find it humorous when a team wins by a significant margin (3 goals in the first half alone) that they are not that differential better then the other team. For the record on this day United 96 was 4-1 better then the Timbers and were it not for some increadible plays by the Timbers could have easily been 6-1.

This girl was rostered to the WSA United 96 team before the start of Spring league in accordance with the rules so yesterday she played up due to injuries on the Glory. Certainly a prper use of the player pass.

I don't get the glass house comment guess I'm a little slow today, maybe someone can explain it. And dogone it after 3 post I already got negative karma! :o

One Red player suited up and played.  That's it.  There were others there in street shoes, watching the game.

My point was that "people in glass houses should not throw stones".  The player pass was used properly by the Timbers, and certainly no less so than the way WSA chooses to use it.  However, as is often the case, the big, bad, Timbers are wrong, and WSA is right.  One poster was WSA himself.  Not sure if you were the other.

As for score differential, like I said, the United was the better team (and I think not just on this day, they are the better team, period).  The United have a better midfield, a better back line, and a deeper bench.  And as for "if not for some incredible plays", there were some on both sides that would have changed the score...either way.

Here is some food for thought....Not including scrimmages.....Against the Timebers Blue
WSA- Timbers  have played four Games
WSA  3 Wins 1 Loss
WSA 8 goals for
Timbers 3 goals for
WSA 2 Shutouts

Rainier Cup
Games Played 2
 WSA 2  - Timbers 0
WSA 1  - Timbers 0

Chinook
Games Played 1

Timbers 2 -WSA 1

Spring PDL
Games Played 1
WSA 4  Timbers 1

WSA was the better team, period.  4-1 better?  I don't think so,(really ::) :-\ are you sure????) but definately better. At least for today! But you know it's the game of soccer and it can change with the wind......  I think the WSA United 96 surprised some folks today....... :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o

Holy Cow Town(is that right, the Couve is Cow Town?) anyone else feeling for the timber blues loss. :P
A loss is bad enough(and maybe it was their time)- but my goodness WSA United 'fans' seem to have a deep seeded grudge...and I'm (grateful to be)an outsider perceiving this
BAD KARMA- it's what comes around and bites you in the (bleep) when you rub your victory in the other teams face . :o :( :-\

Definately a rivalry between the two clubs/teams down south.  But seriously, as i've read on this site, "act like you've been there before."

Eastside white vs Crossfire black  First meeting of these two teams all year and it's about time.  Crossfire has had the braging rights of being the number 1 B team in the State for two years now.  Will their reign finally end against Eastside FC White or do they need to line it up against the Columbia Timbers Blue.

It's still Crossfire, EFC failed to bring their B game let alone their A game.  Poor passing and poor first touch on the ball by EFC failed to give Crossfire a challenge.  It was Crossfire 2-0.

This is the first "B" team Black has played this year.  I don't think they're concerned about being the best "B" team in the state.  They have been consistently competitive with the best "A" teams in the state (along w/a semi-finals appearance in a So Cal tourney).

Thanks! +1 for calling me smart!  ;D
I did take a few calculated risks this week and it paid off! I really did believe Harbor would at least tie WPFC. Harbor has been on a roll and I thought the momentum would carry into this match as well! I also had a feeling that ECFC would bring home a tie as well. Seems like NWN is a little off their game right now. Not positive about this but It seems like WSA has been playing stronger teams all year and I thought this would pay off for them as well. And now I few words from my sponsors!

Does this mean Crosfire Black will be in the State Championship Cup this year?
I'm not the coach or manager so, I can only speculate that the answer is yes.
