;) Anyone care to comment on the FCU v Dynamo or the Snohomish v Crossfire.

Nice to see Crossfire finally play a team of merit, wonder if the score if reflective of the game???  Snohomish got the most difficult first draw and will rebound I am sure, it will be interesting to see how the teams positions will change from week to week.

I saw the second half of the United/Dynablow game. Went to a fight and a soccer game broke out
UGLY game...not very "beautiful" at all. Even Edmonds was cringing :( . Lots of fouls and yellows thrown. Even a red at the end when the Dynablow keeper and United #7 went tete-a-tete.Is that an automatic 2 or 3 game penalty Squash?
Anyway it was 2-0 United when I got there. United kinda packed it in to prevent Dynablow from any serious threat. They had a few soft chances to score themselves, but nothing too great. The only score came on a ludicrous call by the ref who whistled a United player for a hold on a corner and gave Dynablow a PK. No one was mugged and the keeper had an easy shot to grab.( I wish we had that ref last week when our stopper was whistled for a yellow after cussing at the Dynablow player to get off his back...after HE was mugged by the Dynablow player in the box. I think the Dynablow player wanted to wear the Eastside  jersey    )
Anyway, as I expected, Dynablow came up short...Oh, and EFC RED won. Looks like EFC and Dynablow are tied and hey their GF/GA are the same

  Thanks for the breakdown of the Dynamo FCU game.  How many players got reds?  That is too bad, sounds like they are really cracking down, which is OK  if there are some SERIOUS fouls and the boys safety are at risk.  Too bad sounds more like a rugby game or English rules soccer with a little hockey thrown in.

Why so quiet on the Dynamo side of the fence??? :P  :P  :P  :P

Anyone got info on Crossfire BU14 v Snohomish game?  It sounds close, but you never really know   by a final score on paper.  I am sure Snohomish put up a good fight, they are a good team and will win many games this season.

Too bad about the fighting, I wonder if the parents had a small part in that................???

I think that BU14 Division 1 is very competitive and there will be a lot of games that flip flop all season.  At least it will make things exciting all season long.

Talked to a couple of Snohomish parents tonight, good game, one yellow on xfire for agressive play, no fighting.  Snohomish having a hard time getting the ball into the net, though had a few chances.  Xfire had a couple more in the net but called back due to off sides, One parent commented that at least one of the off sides was questionable and didn't see the other.  Agree that Snohomish got a tough first two games, but they held both FC United and Xfire to only one goal each, now if they could only score a couple themselves... 8)

Snohomish vs. Crossfire
« Reply #7 on: September 18, 2005, 10:40:42 AM »

Good game on both sides.  One yellow on each team but neither were super flagrant or dangerous plays.  Crossfire had two goals called back for offside - one was an incorrect call, the other may have been.  Crossfire missed a PK on a great save by the Snohomish keeper.

Snohomish will play some very close games but they may not win many unless they get more people into the attack.  They play a very defensive style of soccer.  Crossfire played with good quickness and applied a lot of pressure throughout.

After two weeks of play you would have to say that the teams are about where most would have thought them to be.
