Seattle Wolves' Coach, Ryan Dortch Awarded USSF "A" License
« on: February 26, 2009, 12:49:46 AM »

The Seattle Wolves FC today announced that long-time coach, Ryan Dortch was awarded the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) A license on Tuesday February 17th.

Dortch attended the USSF A License Course in Tampa, FL over the first two weeks of January.

Formerly a USSF B licensed coach of two years; Dortch has been with the Wolves for approximately the same amount of time. During his time with the Wolves, Dortch has coached SWFC sides to championships, including the 2008 JF Kennedy Cup title and the club’s first SPSL Cup title.

Dortch said of his experience during the course, “I was confident that I had done well while in Tampa. There were coaches from all over the country in attendance, and each seemed to have their own coaching style and philosophy.”

“It was a good experience, to observe and learn from so many people with different backgrounds and philosophies.”
At the young age of 29, Dortch views this accomplishment as a step in achieving his larger goals.

“Ryan is a very intelligent, young coach, who has accomplished a lot in his coaching career already”, commented Wolves’ General Manager, Andrew Opatkiewicz.

“He has been an important part of the club’s development, and everyone within the Wolves’ organization is excited for Ryan.”

Dortch resides in Seattle, WA, and his passion for the game of football is supported by his wife, Megan.
