No, no, Dr. V   . . . .   I'm not googling your kid.    It's simply a function of age, based on birthdates (can see this in the team name   . . .  the '91 !)

At this age very few "play up", so deduction on RB's part.

You know what's really stupid.  Ther are players that have the state cup final this Saturday.  Most High School coaches recognize this and have returning starters so high school is merely a show up for attendance.  However, there are others coaches that are putting these kids through a 5 day mini military boot camp. Where do they find these guys?  And the state once again hits a home run with their STUPID schedule!!

You may know my nephew socrtaxi, he's started since his freshman year. The year Juanita had like 10 senior starters and one freshman.  8)   I'll definitely be at as many games as possible.

Keep an eye out for Kentridge: 3 Storm 90 freshman among a great group of freshman joining the school. Might not be this year, but in the next 3 years they should have a solid showing. Storm keeper is trying out as well.
I don't know alot about the upper classmen, but I hope to see some of the games this year.... I will keep you updated!

John is fun to watch in goal. I think I have seen Ryan Riley before not sure.

I think Sticky is staying with Eastside, he hasnt mentioned any other tryouts, just the current teams tryouts. He really likes the team, plays all the time and continues to improve and feels challenged, no reason to move on.( plus they are working on a trip to Brazil this summer, so that tends to keep his interest too "smile")

Sticky is the starter for Bothell, wish we could play you all in preseason, That would be fun. Is your son playing Highschool? IF so good luck to him, he is a great kid

Three good teams in Cascade league this year, Archbishop Murphy, returning champion Sultan and Cedarcrest.  Cedarcrest will still be young, but have five or six sophmores that started or played significant time as freshman last year.  Sultan lost a good forward but has AJ at midfield.  Murphy looks to be strongest with a lot of returners.

Watch out for Inglemoor! in 4 A
« Reply #22 on: March 04, 2006, 02:05:53 PM »

Yikes I am rooting for Bothell but wow! you all better watch out for Inglemoor this year. I just heard some of the starters names and I am telling you if they remain healthy you will see them in the finals. Oh and none of them take off for residency or club soccer takes them away from school play.

Now! who else do you think will be fighting for the top spots in Kingco. or other 4 A areas. Is Bellermine as good as ever, what about Federal Way, Snohomish, Meadowdale. Any Kent Auburn area teams that are killer this year. How bout the East of the mt.s bunch?   hmmm... should be a fun year. Yes I am a Kingco area person so I know them best but am curious about other areas too

IN the 3A brackets. how are Bellevue, Mercer Island. Newport and even Izzy looking this year? I forget who was top dog last year? I remember there were some might strong teams in 3 a and 4 A this year.  good luck all

HS 10 practices minimum before first game - Why?
« Reply #24 on: March 10, 2006, 11:50:27 PM »

Can anybody tell me where the requirement to get in 10 practices before the first high school game can be played originated from?  What is its purpose?  For players on select teams that have been playing in the state tournaments, it seems silly to have these 5 days a week training sessions just to hit some arbitrary number of practices.

The teams were just barely set, and the schedule has games next week, so this crazy rush to get in a ton of practices seems ill advised and prone to injuries more than filling any real need.

Is the 10 practices minimum rule set by the state, by the school district, or by the coaches?  What can we do to change it for next year?
