A WPS party?
« on: April 29, 2009, 11:45:28 AM »

If there was a chance to get together as Yote said "for a fun social event" would you attend?

Where would you like it to be held at? Starfire ( so we can play soccer ) a central park? ( hopefully with room for soccer )
What kind of party? BBQ, Potluck, Pizza?
When should it be held? Just after tryouts? Sometime during the summer?

No, we don't have to, but it would be fun getting the kids against the CP's in a game.
Or to see the armchair coaches have a say in what goes on. ;D

As soon as the weather gets nice we should get together. Starfire is probably the most central place to meet.

Hey, I used to live by Rochester Hills.  Actually, I lived in Pontiac (Opdyke and Walton), just across the border from Auburn Hills, which is close to Rochester Hills.
It was beautiful there in the fall.  Remember going through 'tunnels' of multi-colored trees.

To be totally fair to all of our brothern and sista's on the eastside...a truely central location would be Wenatchee Confluence.  It has permenant soccer goals, field, swimming, barbeques and for those that wish to camp/drink/stay, that too.  Would I play?  Likely not, but who knows??  For the non-drinkers/one day flyers, it's 2 hrs from Spokane, 2.5 from Seattle and reasonbable from the Palouse.  (Sorry ya'll in the Couve, camp?).  AND....in a month or so nice warm temps!

nah, I've never planned big group things b4....  ;) :drinks:

Only way I'd be tempted is if it happened to be near this large 2 mile oval located by Dearborn....June 14 or August 16 (ick, muggy!) are the only options!

Opdyke and South Blvd has Ultimate Soccer Arena - the largest indoor facility in North Amercia.  Hopefully your Academy club will get drawn against one of ours next season and I'll get to meet some you.  You won't have any difficulty in recognizing me!  Wickedly delicious says all you need to know.

Are Referees allowed to attend?

If so lets avoid June 13th to June 21 and July 13th to July 19th.

I'll even leave my two friends at home........
