is it just me or is no one talking about week 2's scores. I was suprised by one score more then others, the sparta and rainiers tie, in my oponion 2 of the best 2 teams in p2, anyone have any reviews on this game. Me playing for snohomish can tell you for the snohomish eastside game, it was a good game with snohomish scoring right away, like less then 2 minutes in. Both teams had alot of chances, but i felt as if we dominated the larger portion of the game, with about one minute away from their first win over eastside all year, they put one in off a corner kick, "the games not over till the whistle is blown". Unlucky.whatcom lost to revolution. I saw evergreen beat three rivers 3-2, evergreen has been playing pretty well. I heard the three rivers are really physical.  P1, ec proved that they are back at top after some interesting scores in pcc and that final game against eastside in diadora.crossfire played well after last weeks loss.federal ways defense is really strugling. well tell me about that sparta/raineers game.some good games this coming week to, we play whatcom rangers, what can you tell me about them. Also raineers and 3 rivers play this weekend, could be interesting, game of the week will be the raineers and evergreen, can anyone tell me what time that game is i want to see that.

yeah it hasntreally been our defense its kinda been the whole team for storm. united justwent out and wanted it more and they looked really goodgood mid and solid forewards a little shaky at back hense the two goals we got but i think we should turn it around soon we just have to want the games more. i thnk the standings for p-1 have emerald city on top i think emerald city has a good chance at beating crossfire this year and winning the leauge im really starting to be convonced after the 4-1 win over heat.

I missed the Eastside Vs Snohomish game but heard it was a very good game. This time Snohomish pulled ahead, it looked like they would win it this time until  Eastside squeeked in a corner for the ti, in the waning seconds of the game. . Everytime the two teams play its a knock down drag out fight... er soccer game heheheh.

Tri cities team is physical, good speed up front. big sweeper, may not be the fastest best sweeper but persistant, won't just let you get past him he will pester you all the way, try to knock you off the ball.  Some good skills and speed, watch out they won't give up and they can knock you around

Evergreen, Good goalie( hey Jamie ! )  very good sweeper, forwards very fast. #7 and # 14 will wear you out with their speed. IF you play physical with them it can take them out of their game but they have enough skill that they will out play and then out run you too.

Rainiers, havent seen them yet, very good last year in P3 seem to be on a roll this year too.

Sparta, hmmmm.. this is the dark horse team, everyone underestimates them. Good team overall. Can't remember the goalie though sorry! must be good if only two goals have been scored on him so far.or really good defense keeps it out.

Whatcom, hot and cold, played them in the summer. They must have been missing some players, They were speedy and strong the year before. Not sure how good this year

Ok who did I forget...  :?:

Thats a player, parent view above. I am sure some will disagree with me in some areas. :

Is P2  great this year or what!  tight games, close and competitive. Good stuff! 8)

The Snohomish/Eastside game was OK. Snohomish are quite the bruisers.  They have a few players that just like to run you over as opposed to playing soccer. Just a few players though.

I don't think that Snohomish dominated much at all. They had a few chances in the first half until the defense got organized.  Most all of their chances (about 4 or 5) came off of counter attacks.  Their keeper played well.  He is very good up in the air.  Eastside ended up scoring down low.

I think that they (Snohomish) could be a lot better team if they settled down to play soccer as opposed to the hit and run style they are doing now.

hahaha i just think its funny you think my team is physical, sure we have some kids who tackle but its all legal and i dont see how we didnt dominate eastside, it was at their end in their goal from the first minute when we scored untill the last minute when they finally scored, snohomish played alot better then the last 2 times they met. good game for both teams though, i have to admit though the game was physical.

I know that P2 is going to be a big fight this year. Should be interesting to see who comes out on top.

Three RIvers is a good team, Rainiers is a good team, a tie is pretty normal. I wonder what side of the mt.s they played on? This to me makes a difference. the ride for one team or the other is at least four hours and it effects how you play.

I expect more ties and some upsets(?) although all teams are good in this bracket and pretty evenly matched.

Chelsea kid, when you get a yellow card that usualy means your tackle was not legal.  Seriously you all do play a physical form of soccer,  you will see more of this when you play three rivers. They will knock you over rather then dribble or pass around you. Thats just the way they play. I think Snohomish does have more skill but they too tend to go through you rather then finese around you.
Also, when you say you dominated the game to the end when we scored... ummm. when we score we are at your end correct? Ok. just wondering .... Also, I do know that the first half was more Snohomish dominance and the second half was more Eastside dominance.

good luck this tommorrow everyone!    :D

Hey Chelsea kid, how did the SNohomish game go. it looks like it was close. I was predicting a win for you all.

Is P2 still tough or what!   P 1 seems to be having some great games too.  Crossfire James 1  Heat 1 hmmm.. adjusting to having lost players can be difficult.  Interesting battles er... games these days

Besides Ellis who has Crossfire James lost.  I haven't seen them play  recently, but their record indicates they are no longer untouchable.

Just Ellis I believe. If you look at the last couple years, they always start out a bit slow.

They also lost to Heat last year at the beginning of the year, I believe. They actually do start slow normally. They always have a long summer, and kind of coast into the year. they'll be fine. :)

Don't know how you LOSE a player to the B team.  Seems that would rather be a demotion to the B team.... wasn't like they were trying out to make the B team.  As far as Crossfire starting out slowly, and building up to something later in the year (knowing how the team is coached, I'd hardly say this has anything to do with the A record)... what happens is Crossfire A picks up and demotes players as the season progress's.  Last year, picking up the B team GK and Defender really helped Crossfire A, and I would expect the same tactics this year.  Secondly, A team, has players that physically matured early (u12/13), now at U16/17 strengths change.

Prediction: The A team has a few players that wouldn't start for the current B team  ;) , so I'd expect some player movement later in the season, especially at the outside mid position.

fasho at outside mid. haha i was just messing around about the slow start. they did in fact lose to Heat last year before pummeling them later in the season. for a team with as much potential for dominance as this one has, this start is beyond slow. just like Arsenal this season, with great play not necessarily producing full points at the end of the day when the back of the net proves elusive.

OK, so are people surprised that the B team is playing as well as they are?  Is it too early to qualify any record as "playing well"?  Did the new players add significant value to that team?  Was the game with FC United as close as the score suggests?

From what I heard, Crossfire B has a solid defense, 2 goals allowed is second only to EC in P1.... so far of course, (don't know how lucky they were against FCU, only giving up 1).

Surprise of the week, EC not scoring against VFC is huge.  EC also is a totally stacked team (in my opinion) with very few weaknesses anywhere.  They can at times NOT play as a team, as evident this past week.

2 weeks from now, the big match up for "#8 IN THE WORLD" vs EC... we will see if EC deserves to be on the field with xFire or does xFire have nothing in the tank with Ellis M. gone?

Prediction, B Team starts giving up goals like the P2 runner ups they are, and A Teams starts playing like the machine they are.

Prediction this week, 4th week of season, jitters are over, speed, skill, and training of the top teams start to show on the field.

5-0 Xfire A over Spokane
4-0 HSA over Xfire B
4-1 EC over FCU
2-1 VFC over FW

CrossFireB - V - FCU
Both teams had a few chances.  XFire had a shot that was going in cleared off the line by FCU and FCU had a open look from 12 yards over the top.  Crossfire scored with 8 minutes left and mentally let down and gave up a goal minutes later - diving in defensively.   Tough lesson for the "B's".

Crossfire James will kick it back into gear and win more games. Emerald City will wake up and win some more games. Heat will knock some one out.. Oh wait I mean win some more games and make it to at least the Quarterfinals this year. FC United is looking so much better this year. I say they are in their fighting. The rest are struggling. Federal Way is struggling, so is Vancouver. Not sure why just they are.  hmmmm. Crossfire Hattrup will be up and down all season. Just because they are new to P1. It takes a while to get use to the pace and the physicalness of the game. Spokane will struggle too, its all to new for them both.

I agree, look for some HUGE scores from #8 Worlds.  They always lead the league in Goals Scored and least Goals Allowed.... They will have the Green Light to run things up for a while.  Check out the U17's scores that are being posted... total domination.   EC will be just behind them in Goals, followed by HSA.... then FC.... The rest of P1 is a crap shoot in my opinion.  :|

once again we just fell apart at the end, we scored right in the beginning of the second half and then they tied it up and with like 5 or so minutes left they got another....oh well theirs always next week, congrats to eastside for the smashing, and good to see someone beat the raineers.

How did Xfire A "lose" two players?  Looks to me like they weren't taken on the A team and relagated to the B team.  Looks like a good gain for the B team, who BTW tied the heat 1-1.  Heat only scored in the last 5 minutes of the game.  Long season, so far looks less predictable then the past. :)
