Just about right for USA Today and in the Science and Space section to boot.

Yeah, sure, the world is gonna' end in 2012. Since that is the case, why don't you give me your car. How about your house as well and I'll lease it back to you until 2012 for $10 a year, but I get it after that.

Saw a headline that the Mayans are claiming that the stupid Europeans got the translation wrong, the world will not end in 2012...

Yeah, something about the Mayan astronomers could only read the stars up through 2012 or something like that?

Two things...
...If the world ends in 2012, we won't have to pay 25 years of mortgage payments!!!  HOLLA!!  :drinks:  :drinks:

...All heck was supposed to break out in 2000 also...didn't happen.  Guess I'll keep making those payments.  :(

Well 9 year old has convinced the 7 year old that the world is ending in 2012.  She said that's fine by her cuz that means she'll never have dish duty.  Are dishes really that bad?   :-\

My 16 year old went on a cruise this past summer.  She was all talk about the Mayan end of the world leading up to the cruise.  During the cruise she was going to get to go to Mayan ruins.  We told her we heard something about crawling around on her knees around the temple so many times and she would be spared when the end happend.  She said she was going to do it but in the end chickened out.  I would like to have seen my in-laws if she had gone through with it.  They are from Texas (Bible Belt) and probably would have freaked out. LOL
