GU-12 Challenge Cup Championship on March 11, 2006
« on: March 13, 2006, 10:26:38 AM »

The Patriots `93 from the Soccer Club of Renton East played the Mt. Rainier FC Thunder on Saturday. A fantastic game with the highlight of the game being #5, Erica Schmidt scoring 4 goals and #9 Kailiana Johnson scoring 1 goal to make the final score Patriots `93 - 5 and Thunder - 1

This makes the 2005-06 Patriots `93 the first girls team in S.C.O.R.E. to win a state championship :D

You Patriots Rock!!!!!!

Congratulations to the 93 Patriots!

MRFC Thunder is a fine group as well and had a great season to be proud of.

Good luck to both teams for next season!

What is going to happen with this team now that Thundberbirds and Patiots are combining? I read that the Thunderbirds coach is returning, so what does that do for the Patriots?? Any thoughts on this?

The whole of what was formerly the Thunderbirds girls' coaching staff is coming on board with the Patriots.  The former head coach of the Thunderbirds Black team will take the helm of the top Patriots '93 Blue team.  The staff that coached the girls to the Challenge Cup victory will continue with the program, working within both the '93 and '94 age groups.

The coaching staff of the '93 Thunderbirds will take over the '93 Blue Patriots and lead them into the GU-13 State League.  The coaching staff of the of the current CHALLENGE CUP CHAMPIONS will split between the '94 Blue and '93 White.

I believe tryouts are this weekend.  It will be interesting to see the new make-up of all the teams.  Good luck everyone!

Lattitude's information is not necessarily correct, but the Patriots appreciate the interest nonetheless.

Tryouts for the Patriots '93 and '94 teams begin Wednesday at 6:30 PM at Starfire Stadium and continue this weekend along with the '95 teams at at LIberty High School.  For all Patriot tryout info:

Hmm, sounds like two teams don't agree. The bigger question is how does this work with the WSYSA proposal, which I still haven't heard any official word on. SCORE wasn't listed in the "superclubs".  I still don't get the superclub concept as it is.

My daughter will not be coached by the Patriots coaches and my information that I was providing was through different channels.  It sounds like Pride-N-Joy and PPSC are heavily involved, so I would go with their assessment.  I know both the Thunderbird and Patriot coaches "casually" and have respect for both and would like to see them do well and will be following their progress through the years.

Good luck to all!
