I am asking that the for prayers for my cousins 7 year old little boy who was just diagnosed with Liver Cancer! He was playing in a club soccer match on Saturday (he is an exceptional player) in San Diego and was kicked with a ball in the stomach, he had internal bleeding which lead to the discovery of the cancer. That kick in the stomach may have been the difference in his survival! So please Pray!!!!
The only concern Christopher had Saturday night was whether he would be able to play in his soccer game on Sunday, that is how much he loves the game!

Please pray for Christopher tomorrow at noon as he undergoes another biopsy. There are two kinds of childhood liver cancer and they are trying to determine which one he has, first biopsy was inconclusive. Christopher has been able to move around a bit and even kick a soccer ball with his parents in the hallway!

Any news on the biopsy? Did it go well? Was it conclusive this time?

They were able to get one of the tumors and were able to get a good sample this time. Treatment will begin as soon as diagnosis comes in, hopefully tomorrow. Thank you for all of your prayers!

I just wanted to update you all - Christopher will be moving from San Diego Children's hospital to Los Angelas Children's hospital to begin his fight to beat liver cancer. Please pray for him and his family, it will be especially hard during the holidays. If you would like to read his caringbridge site message me and I can give you the link.

My sincere prayers go out to this family, who I am sure is feeling so overwhelmed right now. I have said this before, but I had a child with a serious illness, and it was about the hardest thing I have ever done. Even though he is surviving and is older now, we still live with worry every day. Those early days of learning about illness are some of the hardest, and your friends need all the love and support people can give. I hope they know there are other people who have walked where they are walking and are hoping for the best for them! Send them our love.
