Sounders Academy meeting
« on: March 05, 2010, 10:11:11 AM »

Did anyone attend the meeting last night who would like to give a synopsis of what transpired? Did they announce the coaches?

Dick McCormick (Head), Billy Crook and Sean Henderson.

SIgi and others where present. Seemed some confusion by Parents that this is an extension of ODP.

1) They said they have about a 100 players signed up at each age group for the open tryout.

2) They explained that while they are working with WPFC, the WPFC players are not automatically in and must prove themselve.

3) They talked about having 18 to 19 players.

4) They talked about playing time and they said they would adhere to the USSDA rules about start time but wanted to make it clear. You earn your time!

I found the answer to my own question. In a PM I'm told Sean Henderson will coach the older boys.

So Crossfire does have some good coaches after all. Amazing!! I wonder if Henderson is staying on as a XF coach together with his new responsibilities.

Crossfire has always had some good coaches, but they have also had their share of crappy coaches IMHO
