This is a good question, and one they don't want to talk about. Teddy Mitalas is to be commended for his years of service to the club!

I imagine not.  He sure is stretched pretty thin.  Is his playing career over?  Hopefully this won't affect his commitment to his two teams and his duties as DOC.

I have asked Mike Jennings  / Owner for a public statement in regards to the Mitalas. I'll post it if he comes through.

O'brien played off and on last year with the Tide, but I am pretty sure that is over.

I recall he was out of the country for a bit also... somewhere playing with his brother.  Just wondered if he's done chasing that pipe dream.

"I'm excited," said O'Brien. "This is a good step in the coaching ladder...  Are you kidding me, his pipe dream seems to be climbing the coaching ladder..in other words, he's not really committed. Sounds like he's trying to say that if something better comes along..he'll dump them and move on.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't he leave his teams and his job as DOC (leave of absense) to  chase his pipe dream playing career somewhere out of the country? How did that work out for him????  Does anyone know who the coach is for the Tide?? Could it be daddy O'Brien ???
From what I've read O'Brien vs Mitalas' coaching experience..Mitalas was coaching youth soccer when o"brien was still in diapers.

Well sounderfan it is highly unlikely that you will get a public statement from Mike Jennings in regards to Teddy Mitalas.  It's sad, but the information that I have gathered it's evident that Teddy was completely blindsided by the owner and his replacement when he walked into the meeting on that day to learn he was being replaced.  3 of his 4 years with the program he took the ladies to the final four as a volunteer coach, sadly its rumored that Leighton accepted the position on the condition that he be paid $10,000.  If true, this guy does nothing for free to benefit the soccer community.

What's not rumor is that many players will not be returning as well as all of Teddy's assistants!

I don't know how this guy does it honestly...does he have a clone or something?

I feel really bad for the players (and their CPs) on his teams/club.  If they were upset that he was absent before (which I know MANY of them were), they're really going to be pissed now!!

Pats...I'm available for hugs if you need one.

Now the Tide do have a head coach:

Yeah, I will send you a PM.  I imagine they read this site.  It doesn't stop there as I'm sure you may already know.
