(Cody) Clark is one of a handful of players that play for the state’s Olympic Development Program. Only the top players in each state qualify for the ODP team. South Kitsap’s Travis Gutierrez (a junior), Port Townsend’s Devin Wesenberg (junior), Olympic’s David Meherg (a junior recovering from a shoulder injury), Bainbridge’s Dylan Tucker-Gagnes (a sophomore) and North Kitsap’s Zach Sampson (freshman) are among the West Sound players to qualify for the program, which fields a different team for each graduating class.

And with that honor comes year-around soccer playing, as Clark can tell you. Besides his high school team and ODP team, Clark plays for a club team. It’s pretty common among players of that caliber.

"I love to play, so I try to play as much as I can," Clark said.
