Announcing a new Seattle premier soccer program for U12 and U13 boys:
Tomlinson Smart Soccer
Craig Tomlinson, former Seattle Sounder, and former player with the Jamaican National Team, Ohio State
University and Fresno State University is forming two new select premier teams for U12 and U13 boys,
for the upcoming season beginning Thursday, May 6, 2010.
These teams are being created to give young players an alternative to the traditional Seattle premier teams
that have historically stressed win-loss records over individual player development. Tomlinson Smart
Soccer teams are affiliated with Seattle Soccer Academy, operating under U.S. Club Soccer.
Research your options.
Soccer is undergoing constant transformation, the game on the pitch is developing, and without a doubt,
the feature in the game that has undergone the most striking development is superior technical skills. This,
of course, is a real must for the individual player development as a whole.
If you are a U12 or U13 player looking to reach your full soccer playing potential, we invite you to come
out and try Craig Tomlinson’s Smart Soccer program during the free May pre-tryout sessions. These pretryout
sessions are a perfect opportunity for you to bring your friends, parent(s), and ask questions!
Researching all area clubs is encouraged, yet we strongly believe you will find our program as a
nourishing and strong fit for you. After all, at Tomlinson Smart Soccer, we are looking for serious players
who wants to work hard, train and play to achieve their goals. At pre-tryout sessions, there will be no
pressure from Tomlinson Smart Soccer to attend tryouts. We strongly believe that the choice ultimately

The Tomlinson Smart Soccer Program.
Craig Tomlinson, 10 year USL veteran & winner of 2 USL Championships, and 12 years of youth soccer
coaching experience, knows what it takes to develop young players. Tomlinson Smart Soccer training and
play will incorporate all elements of the game. Players will receive technical skills training, tactical
training, decision-making skills, and physical skills (especially speed and agility training, speed of
thought and speed of action). While the training will be tough and challenging, the environment will be
safe and nurturing.

Pre-Tryout Sessions during May:
Tuesday (05/11) and Thursdays (05/06 & 05/13), 5:30 - 7:00 p.m.
MAGNUSON PARK #4 (#4 is in the "Sports Meadow": park near the playground/dog
park and follow the signs down the path pass the rugby turf field (field #5) to the
meadow beyond).
