Soccer Has a Case of Little League Syndrome

For many years, one of the reasons for soccer’s growth among youth was its unique status as a sport without "little league syndrome" — screaming parents, tyranical coaches and inordinate pressure upon young players, taking away the enjoyment of the game.

In the last decade that pristine allure has been whittled away by a number of influences — mostly coming from good intentions — that have paved the way to a more hellish experience.
