That is a VERY far fetched rumor.

Apparently a ski resort as objected to the idea of the new club being called "SnoRush".  Local DARE officials are not to fond of the name either......

They just had their board meeting, elected some new officers and no new business was conducted.  This is a rumor

Rumor?? probably..  not a bad idea though. Rush is up and coming and Snoho just a shadow of its former self. It is definitely time for new blood for the once mighty club.

*lol*  I can only imagine the nickname that would be:  Snoho and Everush.

Wait now, how does this thread exist?  The club that is not to be named has been mentioned on WPS - HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?  Tisk tisk!!!  The you know who club must have paid for their parent police to go on summer vacation.

Dirty Dog...nice response...it is obvious you have some kind of axe to grind with Snoho.  Your entitled to your opinion...no matter how way off target it is.  Have a great day and remember....a kind word is worth more than any negative thought  :-)

Soccerelfe no axe to grind, but hindsight is 20/20. After having 3 kids go through the select soccer experience you look back and see what was done right and what could have been done better. Two of my kids played for snoho for 3-5 years each and enjoyed it. After watching what has been going on the last few years I would not let most of the coaches train my dog let alone my child. I enjoyed our time there but would not currently go back.

Now, now Cheese - if you want to beat Crossfire, you need to join Tynecastle, not the club that should not be named!

Welcome back, BTW.

obvious axe to grind   :)   with the club going in a very positive direction.... I am sorry to hear you had a bad experience with some coaches. There is a more productive place to bring those concerns up...a public forum where people are anonymous is not one of them  ;D  It is hard to tell what is fact or fiction in a forum where everyone wears a 'mask' concealing their true identity.  Good luck to your kids....glad to hear they had a great experience.  Take care

I don't think DirtyDog was stating their was a bad experience.  I believe the comment simply means they are not what they used to be.  They might need a change.

When Sno EveRush merges with NWNs, and then annexes Marysville Youth Soccer Association, and goes head to head with Crossfire Shadow, will Greater Vancouver-Olympia Premier still be allowed into the RCL first division, or will Eastside-Northside-Southside keep them out?

Texasgirl   it is obvious there is an axe to grind......  SU has made great strides to improve its program for the kids involved..  the hiring of a world cup experienced Coaching director (who now heads Wa states devolopment program), the hiring of the current Coaching director who is also the U-20 US womans national Coach , to acquiring more land for the clubs playing fields, to also hiring a coaching director(that makes two directors for the kids in this club) whose sole duty is to focus on the recreational side of the club........... there is more for those who wish to investigate. If you take the time to find out Texas....Im sure you to would understand why I am so proud of this club.  Take care

just my two cents, but we fled to Snohomish United two years ago after starting my dk first year with a diffrent club. We love the family feel of Snohomish, where everybody knows almost everyone or asks how your team did last weekend. They care and it shows.   OT

Let them merge with Tynecastle or Legacy

I believe this has already happened with a few teams leaving Snohomish.

******bleep****** is just fine now.

Now, I gotta toss in a laugh when reading the club who shall not be named is fine....just fine?  What about excellent?  I'd want a club to be excellent rather than just fine (and yes, my younger DK's club is excellent).  If first impressions are lasting, I'd have to say short one liners are telling.  But, none the less, good to know they are fine...... :P

I do believe this guy is now gone from Snohomish and took enough boys to call it a team with him:

Kevin Lamb was coach of the year 2008... He's a great coach for players, my son really liked him.

I'm going to second that.  I've got a kid who will still go to him for advice and would play for him again in a heartbeat.    I also heard from parents at the high school a year or two ago that when he was asst for the girls at Juanita, he was the one the girls all looked to and petitioned to have him has head coach when the old one was not renewed, but the school did not want same coach for both girls and boys.

That was 2008, not now.  Things obviously changed with him on both fronts - club and HS.  Wonder what the other side of the story is as there is always two side?  Guess we'll need to watch his teams at NWN and Tynie.  Which club did he "take" players to?

I've heard he was fired from both Juanita and Snohomish.

He was on probation at Juanita because of red cards the previous 2 years, and this season he was told one more and he was gone. He received 2 reds this year and the writing was on the wall.

Other parents have spoken well of coaches that their children have played for that different posters dislike. He may be a good trainer, but there were too many occasions where his temper spiraled out of his control for either the club or the high school to keep him around without them being too concerned that they were overexposed to liability.

Dont forget the promise to the Xfire player, who can not be named, that Juanita was the best school for him if he wanted to get seen by college coaches. hmm

That I know of now, Lamb has a great group of very dedicated guys out on the field 3-5 times a week.  Those players seem to be doing well for themselves.  Tynecastle is an excellent location for renewal and growth where soccer is concerned so Lamb and anyone else will do well with this crew.

Speaking of promises goldengoal, the EverRush players stateside and overseas exchange program must be doing well by now.  This has to be an exciting program that many EverRush players are taking part in, after all that was a selling point at the club's organizational meeting.  So what fun places have these players gone to so far?

I wonder how many other clubs are sending their players overseas to play?  The limited focus some area clubs seems tout about feeding into the Sounders program is probably ill advised when there are so many other excellent opportunities worldwide.  So where are the U-17s, 18's and 19's headed?
