Today the US play Netherlands(Holland) in the quarterfinals. If you have FSC it will be shown live, if not you can follow the game on matchtracker on the US Soccer site

If they win, they'll face mexico I believe in the semifinals..best of luck boys

We lost 2-0. Wasn't a bad game really, US gave up a goal at the end of the 1st half in stoppage time.

The second half tried to press forwarfd and gave up a 2nd goal.

I thought the game was decent until Holland scored the goal at the very end of the half. To be honest the dfender got caught on the wrong side of the player, and made it sort of easy for Holland to finish it. Outside position is not good.   :(

Oh well....Holland moves on. Hopefully the one US players leg isn't too bad. They replayed the tackle like 5 or 6 times. Ummm it was clearly broken....really obvious that it was broken on the 1st replay.

Not having Besagno able to play, and then losing Alston to the broken leg, made an already thin US defense even thinner. :|

The US player video of breaking his leg....

Ummm they showed it a few times ...like 6 on replay. If you have a weak stomach, I'd recommend not watching it. The last part of the clip, they replayed like 5 to 7 times.

it reminded me of Joe Theisman and Monday Night Football....uggg

I'd say this is sort of -R- rated

USA had plenty of good chances but there's something about them that just seems so much less polished than their counterparts (but then i'd say that Ivory Coast was seriously the best team i've seen so far so i don't know how much trust you should invest in my judgement). the thing that matters though is that they got good results in all of their games, despite lapses and ceding of possession.

yes you'll see some of those Ivory Coast kids in Ligue 1 soon. the athleticism and dribble there were a cut above.
