Love seeing Dos continue to move up but I seriously doubt they are at a point where EFC should be below them.

Wpfc moves up 19 this week, not bad but the Heartbreakers moved up 22  ;D

I think these rankings get a little more ridiculous every week. Thanks for the time and effort Islander, but I question the accuracy. If all of these teams played each other, do you think the Top 100 would look anything like it does? Top 20 teams shouldn't get blasted by scores of 3-0 and 6-0 by other top 20 teams. Also, the Slammers drop that much??

Well, what if there aren't 20 teams in Washington State in the same skill level?

You know I get the same sort of comments every year at this time of year (this is my 4th).  The PMs are more abusive then the posts but it's the same sort of thing.  They die off as the season moves along and it seems the comments become the opposite.  It will be the same next year if DD is still playing.

A couple more big weekends coming up and we'll see a lot more movement.  Fall league starts in a month and the NWCL gets underway this month.

Islander, please keep going. You know that you are almost always right on :drinks:
If the nay sayers don't like it, they can do their own top list
Oh. that's right, it's easier to criticize than to step up to the plate ;)
You rock and keep me interested even though I don't have a DD playing in this age group anymore :'(

Don' think you should be abused for taking the time to this. This is for fun anyway. Just think crediblity goes out the door when I look at the following. I just am very surprised to see our team fall 41 spots after giving up 2 goals and losing 1 game and tying 3 in a very difficult tournament. I could talk about how there are teams we have beaten every time since my we joined the team just over a year ago and the are over 30 spots higher. Looking at your list I see one team in the top 20 we have beaten 4 straight times in one year, another we have beaten 3 times and tied once in a year, 2 teams in the top 20 that we are 1-0 against, 2 other teams in the top 35 that have never beaten us in the last year and we have played over 4 times. (they tied us a couple of times). Finally, I recognize 3 teams our old select team beat handily every single time we played them. That is what made me laugh and think somewhere something went haywire. As I said not upset by it but am amused that you can drop 41 spots playing in a tough tournament and losing 1 out of 4 and falling behind teams that you have beaten repeatedly. Not sure of methodology but not sure it is working very well for us. lol  ;D

Islander, sometimes I agree, sometimes I don't.

What I think you should do is post one or two of your private PMs and let the board call them out.

Thanks

No, they won't stop me from doing it, I'm too far gone.  Some PMs challenge the system a bit.  Most are legit questions and I hope I give them a good explanation of the why. I'm always looking for ways to make it more accurate, tweeking the formula now and then.  I did have a big lesson learned this year and will have it corrected for next year.

Adding in the Oregon teams has really been a plus for the summer rankings.  Out of state tournaments like California have been a challenge.

Don't fret BBDad. Once the Slammer ethos really kicks in and you all get rid of those slacker 2 and 3 sport kids, I'm sure you all will move up quickly.  :drinks:

Oops we must be in the wrong club then. Daughters don't know what ethos means but have finally convinced one that three sports is enough. Also convinced her that playing middle school sports and two club sports might not work out if she is going to keep her grades up. Toughest tournament daugters have said they have ever been in has even convinced the one that has an abundance of confidence she needs more training if she wants to be elite. Normally would be concerned and have to watch her for signs of one sport focus but with hoops practice tonight and her desire to get the green light from me to shoot 3's not worried about it. Not sure I want to tell her about the invitation to play select fastpitch as it may screw up basketball or soccer.  :drinks:

Don't let those big boys scare you, Islander.  While I think there are some teams that may be misplaced, I'm assuming that fall league season will start to sort out the level differences. Many teams are learning to gel and any do utilize the guest play system in the summer...league season will pit "like vs like" (for the most part), so we truly get a sense of where teams stand.  Agree or disagree, I appreciate your effort in giving us some blah, blah, blah.   :drinks:

It sure does get quite around here...
