Last night:

WPFC 94 Black 2 vs GRFC 94 Blue 1

It was a good match.

Federal Way gets Wpfc tomorrow morning in what I heard is a much anticipated grudge match

Seattle United is my pick out of the 2nd pool and I see them matching up with Wpfc in the finals

@NKOTB why a grudge match between FW and WPFC? Just new, and do not know much history. Seattle United seems to be doing good.

FW lost more than a players to wpfc and is an ongoing theme these days.  Not 100% sure on the U12 scene but throughout a few age groups there has been kids from fw heading to wpfc

I see... hmm, I do believe there is at least one that I am of aware of this year (U-12). But I suppose regardless of which club, this seems to happen; especially when you get some good competitive clubs in close proximity.

All results are here: http://www.washingtonpremierfc.com/tournaments/schedules/index_E.html

WPFC Black 97 beat Crossfire James 98 in the u13 final 5 to 1.  The officiating was laughably one-sided for XF, but the only point they scored was when their player flopped in the box and drew a pk.  The game wasn't pretty and it wasn't close.

Couldn't help but notice the Westsound coach for the U-11 devs is in need of some anger management. I was shocked the way he spoke to the boys or I should say the way he screamed.

Great comment from the weekend "why does it take me being a cheerleader at half to get you guys to play?"

Well Chins, I'm positive that you have a history of ridiculing the James boys whose biggest offense seems to be their inability to provide your son's team enough competition.  These kids are 11.  If you have a problem with their coach or their behavior, let's hear it.  Otherwise, you're out of line.

I have to say that the 99 James boys are outstanding.  Even my son walked off the field saying "those kids are really good Mom.  They are doing blah blah blah better than us.  We need to learn from them."  This is coming from a ten yr old non xfire player.
Great job boys, you deserved to win.

Sorry to confuse your criticism with a bunch of facts, FD, but actually XF was the stiffest competition WPFC had in that bracket.  I have also posted elsewhere on this site my congrats to all the WPFC and XF boys for their hard work last weekend, and I acknowledged that XF was playing a year up (with guests).  So you might have to try a bit harder to bait me.  I said nothing about their coach; he wasn't even at the game.  But keep up the good work finding folks who are out of line here; so glad we have you around to take care of that for all of us.

Facts?  The TRUTH is you made a string of posts previously regarding the lack of success James 98' boys had in PDL play last year (negative goal differential, won loss record etc).  I would copy and paste those but then I would be highlighting your contributions? which are at best insensitive but read more along the lines of mean spirited.  And your subsequent congratulatory post still had a "but" to it which undermines sincerity.

I don't have a kid on the Xfire team and I don't know you from Adam so, I'm not emotionally invested in this nor do I fancy myself as a moderator to what gets written here.  Good luck to you and your son.

So, FD, you don't "fancy" yourself a moderator (I agree), but you see fit to tell me when I'm "out of line" and now what the level of my "sincerety" is when I congratulate kids.  And you complain that I come onto this WA youth soccer site and talk about such things as WA youth soccer team win/loss records, standings, tournaments, coaches, and goal differentials.  If you ever get a free minute when you aren't busy weighing my conscience, reading my mind, and pontificating on the inadequacy of my contributions, maybe we could discuss something less fascinating, like... maybe... WA youth soccer.

If your idea of discussing youth soccer is ripping 11 year olds, we don't have anything to discuss.

Mischaracterization is a lot easier than actually quoting somebody, isn't it, Firedog?  It's harder to man up than it is to shut up, but you do neither.  Or are you the 11 year old you are pretending to defend?  You still haven't said anything about the soccer teams....  The title of this thread is Boys weekend Rainier Challenge....

I agree, JM, and I apologize.  I also admit that it's tough to stay quiet when someone accuses me of mistreating little boys.  I actually came here to discuss the Rainier Challenge last weekend (the title of this thread).  I was interested to read the observations of others, and I shared some of my observations too, since I was at that tournament.  If you were there, people might like to hear about your experience as well; I know I would be interested.
