Lombard is at a new top notch club!

Hey, just scanned the sites for scheduling and noticed P. Lombard is coaching for them now. Awesome pick, Eastside!!!

EFC welcomes another fantastic coach!  Coach Lombard will be working with the Girls 93 White team.  ”Porter is an outstanding addition to our staff with an extensive and very successful resume.  More importantly though, he is a fantastic person with a sincere passion for coaching kids and who perfectly fits the profile of the type of person we want at EFC” said Chance Fry, EFC DOC.  “He is one of the most respected coaches in Washington.  Our club is so lucky to have acquired his services” added Tom Bialek, EFC Asst. On one of the other threads (Championship Cup predictions, I believe), the talk of Lombard not receiving a Crossfire team assignment for 2010-2011 came up, with many surprised by this. Many weren't sure where his next assignment would be, with many saying any club would lucky to have him, and then the subject of taking a break for a year was brought up, so that's where it was left.
As for how the new assignment came about, I have no idea. I'm just glad someone is putting his talent to good use. :)
So, now we know. He's at Eastside!!! Very cool! So glad to hear he didn't take too long of a break.  ;)   ;D Welcome back.  ;D

I didn't think he could stay away for a year. Xfire's loss and Eastside's gain. Think of the caliber of coaches that Xfire lost in Lombard and McCormick. Yikes. And one of them run off so that a parent could run the team. Sheesh!
