Prayers Needed

Last week I took DD in for a routine sports physical. She was cleared for soccer, however her heart rate was very slow. She went in today for a follow up and had a ECG. At this time she has been told no sports or PE until she is cleared by a cardiologist.  No soccer. She's played since she was 3 and is devastated. She will be seeing a pediatric cardiologist soon and will hopefully be cleared to resume playing. Until then please pray for her. I'm trying to be the one not to cry and just be there as the one saying oh it's nothing everything will be fine. Better to be cautious you know..... she's a poster on here- only posted twice (Nemesis 7) some of you know her as Gojo. The only thing that got her to laugh was when she asked if she could golf-and the doctor said yes- and she said great I hate golf.  I'm really hoping this is nothing.

My prayers are with you   :angel:  :angel: It always hard to hear these cautious words from a doctor(DD has been there before) but keep in mind it is for your safety... hopefully soon you will get the all clear and be back on the field tearing it up...

Holy Smoke.   :o  Prayers for sure Sara. I am guessing a lot of teammates and former teammates know already via the modern miracle of text messaging and Facebook. Wishing GoJo #55, you, and the big guy, well from the Viper fam. Let's hope its just a bit of exercise induced asthma and the occasional inhaler is all that is needed.

i'm so glad you took her back in. I have been thinking about her. It is better to be thoroughly evaluated by the top dog.  tell her golf grows on you and besides the guys will think it's great that she plays golf.  we will keep her in our prayers.

So sorry - hope you can her into cardiologist quickly and they rule it out fast....but better safe than sorry

Prayers for your daughter. Hopefully she'll be fine,cleared and ready to play. It's much better to get it handled before anything might occur-no matter how slight a chance. Kudos for being on top of this.

My thoughts are with you, do yourself a favor and stay off the internet...we always imagine (and google) things worse then they actually are!  Doctors are very cautious with our little ones and more often then not things are no where near as bad as we can imagine them to be ::)

Guys- I really want to thank you. When she had the physical I posted about it on here and got some feedback. One person really urged me to get the follow-up which is what I did. Had I not posted on here I don't know if I would have taken her in. It's easy to shrug it off as nothing. As it is though it is much better to get it all checked out and know for sure. So thank you all. She's going to wear a monitor for about a week and then see a cardiologist. Hopefully she'll be back before her first game.

Count the Strikers in.    All the positive vibrations we can send south are headed for your daughter.  The girls know now, but expect a big surge tomorrow around 5:10pm when they all come together.
