Having played with Korrio for a couple of weeks, it has nice features but not ready for primetime. As an example, sending automated messages for schedule changes is nice but it is also easy to send mass text messages via a cell phone. We gave up on it after two weeks as half the parents had no interest in using it. Bonzi has all the registration features associations and clubs need to make things happen. Yes, it took some years to get it to where it is today but it works. As previous posters stated, there are plenty of options to post team pages on the web. Most often, teams need a place to post team photos. I have heard that most associations intend to stick with Bonzi for the time being as they do not see a compelling reason to switch.

No he has it right, WYS has moved to block Bonzi access to Association data only when those Association payments were WAY WAY past due!  :police:

K2,

1)  Either clearly identiy that you were the association or are state staff when this happened or keep the hearsay to yourself.

2)  Read the post...the accusation was that the state office attempted to block a CLUB not a member association who was past due in payments and probably deserved it.  Unless EW wants to clarify...

I'm with Soccer Wonk, love WPS, because anyone can come on here and make a blank statement.  How do you know that "most associations" intend to stick with Bonzi when "most associations" haven't had the chance to use the new system yet?  Mind reading, read tea leaves...

In need of a little feedback. Am I alone on this one?

Apparently Korrio has integrated player profiles in such a way that anyone on any of your DK's teams can see their "Basic Information". Now what is basic information, you might ask? Well, player name, home address, email, home phone number. Then there's parents names, address, emails, home and cell phones. Player's birthday, gender, club team, and school the player attends. And if the player uploads a photo, that will be there too.

Now sharing most of this would seem ok for me to the families on the same club team. But with the team integration, you'll also be sharing this with families of RTC players you probably won't know. Basically, without any means to block the level of sharing, all this personal information could fall into hands for distribution anywhere.

So is it just me, or this a bad idea? Personally, I think every record should have an option to lock it out for sharing. Or better yet, set which team it can be shared with or none.

I believe it was actually brought up in a past thread dealing with Spokane.   Given enough free time, I will try to go back and find it.

Is this new system the same on that is being used for coaches and mangers to sign on at WSYS to report scores and the like for the State Leagues?

If so, that log on system for the leagues stinks!!  Very hard to use.

I don't believe so, that is what ever the PDL used previously.  In a discussion had yesterday, it was clarified that the state office is making the move, but it's up to everyone else to decide on what they want to use.

EW, if you find it, let me know.  But other then turning off state tools and such, the state can't turn off someone else's licenses that individually pay for.

How could Bonzi have been surprised by this?  They didn't have a contract with WYS for sometime and had been told that WYS was looking elsewhere. With revenues at 10 to 25 million, sure they are going to get their shorts in a bunch.  How will they ever be able to pay for those lattes and nice cars???
