Cross Country

Well today is a cool day!!! I got 1st in my cross contry meet, and i got a time of 9:17.75 and i was 15 seconds ahead of 2nd, and about a 30 seconds ahead of 3rd. So I was pretty happy about that!!! Sounds like a great time and that you are a very competitive runner. I know that many of the top cross-country runners at the high school level have a soccer background. By the way, what was the course distance? I wish our school district had cross-country at the junior high/middle school level. My son, who plays for the BU14 Kitsap Red, ran the quarter-mile, half-mile, and mile as a 7th-grade member of his school's varsity track team. His best mile time was 5:20. I think cross country would be a great sport for him, but there may be conflicts with his soccer schedule down the road. Anyway, keep up the good work/running! If you truly enjoy the training & competition, you could go far in the track/cross-country field!
