OK I stopped dancing way earlier today.  Left the office at 4:15, made it to the south end of Boeing field by 6:15 (maybe about 3-4 miles) turned around and came back to the office to work and wait for the crazies to get off the road.  Maybe Seattle will get some sand down by oh I don't know 9:00pm.  Budget cuts, maybe not tonight.

Did you see the Chinese B747 freighter laying in a heap off the south runway?   Dinasty Air, stopping at Seattle before going on to China.   Not sure if it was at SeaTac or Boeing field.

This was at Seatac, but didn't actually go off the runway, just past the stop line...stayed on the asphalt though.  All was safe and no damage to the plane, at least this is what I heard on the news while I was stopped downtown.

So much for ABC radio news.   They said that it went off the runway.

Anyway, the Seattle Snow Traffic Mess also made the national radio news.  It sounded as bad as I recall.   Over here, at least the traffic moves 20-30 miles an hour in snow and ice.
Oh, and Yote, I am going to mention to all the poor people from Connell north to the Canadian border that you have been doing your dance again.  They are under a Blizzard Warning.   I also hear that Spokane is getting 10 inches of snow today.   And the radio said that it it will hit TWO DEGREES here tomorrow night.   But then, who trusts weathermen anymore, anyways?

The snow has stopped here, at least for now.

Made it home at 2:56am last night after leaving the office at 8:10.  Crazy stupid people out there that can't drive.  I have some stories for you all.

The winter of 91-92 I was living in Juanita.  From the movie theatre in Kirkland to our apartment, it took more than 90 minutes.  I did stop to help a mail carrier put chains on, she had never done it before and did not have a clue as to how to do it, so that added 15 minutes.  Saw 8 wrecks, and innumberable cars slid off the road.  (or stuck sideways on it).   You Seattle folks are crazy when it comes to driving in the snow.   Might as well be bumper cars out there, except bumper car traffic moves faster!



Err, we have had our share of wrecks around here over the last couple days.   But I blame them on all the Californians that have been moving up here!!!

Today it was balmy and all the snow melted.

Yote, aparently it is flooding up in the Anacrotes area.  My brother wants you to put on the tap shoes again.
