Div 1 college commits
« on: December 21, 2010, 11:05:21 AM »

At this point in time I have not heard about too many local players (boys) who have made verbal commits to Div 1 programs. Most of these are playing for the Sounders>

Palodachuk-Duke
Yedlin-Akron
Okoli-Wake Forest
Herman-Santa Clara
White-UDub
Schott-Penn

Anybody know of additional players who may have committed?

It's Div 2 but I think there are 2 or 3 players from Crossfire who have said they will go to Humboldt State.

I wasn't belittling them by mentioning Div 2 but the original post asked about Div 1.

Good for Nate...I believe he has had at least one serious knee injury in the past.

UW made him stronger and faster. He is a very confident young man who has some serious speed.
Starts and lots of play time. MC puts him up front outside mid with that left and on occassion at left back.
Having fun and doing what they all love! Dee still having fun?
BTW Is it just me or why would you mention that? Its behind him and most kids recover well ,sometimes even better now days

Div 1 college commits

'Anybody know of additional players who may have committed?'

Good job Seattle United 92 girls; for most, a long tough road it's been.  You are Div 1 college recruits no matter.  Too bad Sounders only commit to boys; hopefully, in the future they really will promote girls, too.  Very entertaining play but without the testosterone-induced bs; also, no better coach out there.

Sorry, still off the topic of D1 commits for the WA boys, but what tough road have most of the Seattle United 92 girls (formerly ECFC 92 Green) been through?
Six out of 7 State Championships, a FWR Championship, and virtually all of them will be playing D1 College soccer next year.
What tough road are you referring to?

That is a pretty impresive list for sure.

C-Bob
Tough BUT successful; playing an age up (true?) in season play every year, playing through injuries and having that constant team success.  Changing clubs for the last year, navigating, it appears for most,  long, hot Summer ODP camps, winning the last two years in State Semi's in shoot outs (luck or training to win?), pieces of the team changing year to year, making sacrifices at school year end to attend Regional Tourneys' and there is the $ and the self promotion. For some club age dynasties the management has the resources to be more supportive; and from afar, it looks like a lot to assign girls throughout their adolescent time with it all on them to maintain. Kudos to them all on a tough but very successful road. It will be interesting how the final season plays out for ALL the college bound players in this age group.

hunble pie, I read your post and can't help thinking about my son and daughter. This could apply to both their teams and a lot of other teams I know.

Dedication? yes. The only team that does this? Not by a long shot.

All that said, the whole goal is to launch your child correctly to college. Go girls, everyone here wishes you the best !!!
