I must admit, I quite enjoy watching the newbies bicker!! It makes me miss the days when Dd's loud mouth, pain in the butt coach was under fire.

It is clear from your post that you were NOT at the game. Donne DID NOT curse. Both coaches were going at each other - equal punishment should have been applied.

Do not use the royal "we" to imply that you are a parent on the team. Donne's parents are very happy with him and are thankful he took on the team.

I was there and the coach in question ABSOLUTELY DID CUSS.... Unless you Nothern folk don't consider tossing a couple of BULLSH!TS cussing...

SOOOO I don't know if anyone saw the spectacle of the coach Michael Donne who got tossed this weekend @ mt hood challenge for cursing and acting like he wanted to fight the other teams coach during a U12 game........embarrassing for us none the less. Wow, when are they going to appoint coaches who act older than their players. Worse to think he is our director of youth development. Laughable when these men come with an accent and everyone thinks they can coach or are good role models for younger players. Not in this case. Not at ALL. I guess the other teams coach was whining to the ref on calls was more important then our team this weekend.

Were you there? You're suggesting both coaches be fired. It sounds like you have some kind of axe to grind to me.

Roadie, this makes me laugh as I was the coach on the other sidelines when your former coach got into trouble the first time up at the Crossfire Tourney.

With the merger of NW Nationals and FC Alliance..whats the expection? IS the right move? MONEY?

This seems to be a persistent rumor, though as far as I know not confirmed as yet by the powers that be. I had heard it was in the works for this year but could not be completed in time so was put off until next year, but again that's just a rumor I heard.

NWN wants it. SNo-King REC does not. NWN controls South County Assn Board even though player counts are minority. Arm twisting and threats by Federal Way state staff to make it happen. All good stuff we've become accustomed to. NYSA/FCA not sure whether this is so good after all. Pushed off to next year.

Geographically the NWN forming an alliance with FCA is laughable... NWN is just ignoring the fact that Seattle United is dominating them in tryouts in the Shoreline and north Seattle area.

Best merger would be......... Northwest Nationals take over Shoreline... Crossfire Premier absorb FC Alliance. Players above u12 go to Crossfire already, so this move wouldn't be much of an improvement for Crossfire, more of a recognition of what already happens. The teams above u12 would just be "B" or "C" teams for Crossfire.

Of course Terry Fisher will go with whatever plan allows him a pay raise, ie. more control.

A few years ago, there was a recap thread every weekend on this forum that would get to three or four pages of posts. Crazy parents would log in, report the score, brag up their kid, congratulate other kids on their play. "Karma Kiss Tuesday" went to three or four pages every week. A few times a year, some big story would break: a pedophile coach, a club getting in financial or other trouble. But the recaps were the life of the forum.

Fast-forward to the present. Ax-grinders, trolls and others with hidden and not-so-hidden agendas perceive something in this forum that they can't get anywhere else: an audience. However, their serial ax-grinding, trolling, personal nastiness and bashing seem to have driven their audience away. The most innocuous post is subject to hijack. The recaps -- the "indicator species" for the health of WPS -- have all but vanished. The few survivors are in the BU16 topic, and the high school thread which is less prone to hijack in the name of youth soccer politics.

I thing the tennor of the group has somthing to do with it but I think our GU96 DKs are growing up. A lot of our DKs have left soccer and the one's that are still playing have less parental involvment.
