In the Tri-Cities area -
Southridge is expected to have an outstanding starting 11. The talent will fall off steeply from there. But with the return of their experienced and knowledgeable coach, Sombrano, the "bench" will all be servicable niche players by the end of the regular season. Look for this team to start strong, and to finish strong (unless hit by injuries). Anyone wanting to beat them, the best chance is in the middle of the season.
Kamiakin - Erikson always puts a competitive team out there. Look for the juniors and sophomores to have an ever greater impact on the field as they prove themselves to their coach.
Richland - A question mark. There is talent, but not enough to make them a favorite. It all depends upon team cohesiveness and coaching (and parents minding their p's and q's). Could be one of the top teams in the CBBN or a mid-ranker.
Chiawana - Will not be as good as last year when Ritchie's girls stunned the league with their preformances.
Pasco - About the only person who gives them a chance for the play offs is their coach. Look for a former member of the coaching staff to be unhappy and talk to other parents.
Kennewick - My utmost respect goes out to the girls in this program who show up and give it their all. And to the coaches who try to make them better, and who keep them enthused. I hope they win a game or two this season.
Sunnyside - My Grandmother always told me that if I do not have anything nice to say, don't say anything. moving onto Hanford -
Hanford - Lots of good young talent. The very few high level seniors will have to exercise leadership this season to get Hanford to repeat as Co-Champions of the League. This team will be get better as the season goes along, likely more so than anyone else. If you want to beat Hanford, plan to do it early.
East Valley, West Valley, Ike, Davis, Ephrata, Othello, Eastmont, Wenatchee, and Moses Lake I have no ideas as yet.
