RCL BU14 Schedule Manipulation?
« on: November 21, 2011, 09:54:08 PM »

Would like the forum's feedback on BU 14 Division 1 schedules. Looking at current standings, and potential relegation battles, the rescheduling of the last three matches of the Fall Season seem somewhat nefarious. Any input from said teams?

Can you be more specific?  How could this be manipulation?

The December 14th game was rescheduled this past weekend. The December 11th and 12th games were rescheduled the weekend of November 12th and 13th. I have been following this age group all season, and because korrio posted the whole season schedule back in September it has been pretty easy to follow the standings table and scheduling table throughout the season; including the changes.  So, these will be the last 3 games for the fall season. Therefor, it seems to me that the club is hedging their bets in case NWN gets some wins.

Just curious if others see it that way, or am I tilting at windmills?

Well theres only one way to really know... 1st NWN needs to jump over the two crossfire teams. 2nd need to see the results of the those last games and if it keeps eveyrone where they are. Of course then theres still no way of knowing this. But its not the first time ive seen crossfire have "mid week" games against their own teams that they schedule.

Interesting.  Thanks for the clarification.  I will be checking the results of these games.

Take Thanksgiving off. James 97 playing NWCL on 12/3 and 12/4. Play games the following weekend. Sub some games for practice to complete games by WYS deadline and avoid doubleheaders. Seems pretty reasonable.

However, this is a case where automatic promotion rules aren't sensible. None of the bottom 4 are really competitive with the top 4. Need to bring up a couple and have 6-team division.
