Dos / GRFC new name

GRFC and DOS FC are opening up the opportunity to name the new club to the players and membership of both clubs.  Suggestions for a new club name can be sent to grfc.dos.name@gmail.com.  Name suggestions will be taken until December 31, 2011.

How about combining the English translation of Dosvedanya FC and the name of the GRFC coaching director, so you'd have ... Goodbye Leighton FC  :D :D

My bet is they will come up with a generic not geographically specific name, most likely with the word "Premier" in it - ala NWN, WPFC.

Does anyone happen to know the origin of the "Dosvedanya" moniker? A noteworthy flash of originality in the blandness that is Washington soccer.

Ok I have to admit it I laughed  ;D

By the way with the trend the last couple of years in mergers it would be interesting to hear how they are working out from inside the groups. I know (second hand) when Rush and Evergreen merged 2 years ago the hope was to make a single power organization that would control the area north of Seattle. Seems though that first year much of the higher talent from both programs didn't return so all it did was make the programs around the merger stronger and Rush is struggling in many age groups to find the right players/coaches.
