Smart move by Rush.... GRFC should of cancelled all games it was/is a mess at starfire !!

I agree. It's not worth getting hurt. No one gets anything of value out of these games. Our kids coach forefitted as well. It's the smart call.

I am not cticizing any team that chose to forfeit.  But I think it is unfair to call out GRFC for the decision to continue with the tournament.  This would be a difficult situation, one which could only be described as a lose/lose scenario.  If they cancel all games, I guarantee people will be griping.  If they play on, some people will gripe as well.  But under the current scenario, at least teams could choose if they wanted to play or not.  Hence, no team that chose to play has the right to complain.  Just my opinion.

Can't blame Rush for the forfiet - the north end got hit with the snow - Maltby/Clearview had 3+ inches on Sat.  went to the 8 am game on Sun to return home to an additional 3-4 inches and it kept coming.  The farther north you went the more there was ... up into Marysville, Lake Stevens, Everett.

It's not just about safety of play but the drivers/drive getting them to the games. Not worth landing in a ditch for a soccer tourmament (did I actually say that  :D )

You can make some of the people happy all the time and you can make all of the people happy some of the time but you can't make all the people happy all the time.

Can't blame teams for choosing safety first but still want to know what happens now; I have been told that the team we were supposed to face in the final chose not to play.  Don't really want to be the champions by forfeit but think it leaves our team with a big let down as they were so ready to play for the trophy and now it's just unfinished like an incom

For the G96 Premiere... anyone know if the 1-0 score in the semifinals for Reign and FCA was an actual game or did FCA forfeit? What about the final between Harbor and Reign... forfeit by Harbor or did Reign win 1-0?

Fortunate to be around for both matches.  Harbor had a free ride with the Rush forfeit.  Reign kept enough pressure on FCA that they really never threatened the Purple people. Although I'm sure Harbor was hoping to take advantage of their rest before the final (and maybe a little complacent about the Div2 FWU since running past them in summer action), the Reign didn't let off the gas.  Unyielding pressure between the 18s left the green team only frustrated with few scoring opportunities.  Overall, a weekend with some climate chaos and lively action on the field.
