yep, all want to be close to Dragon, get Dragon to say nice things and give high rankings to DD in posts. DD not care if team finish first or last, just want to see name in D's lights.

This should be a rocking tournament with lots of talent coming in. Make sure to get those reservations in early since Fife is the closest to the fields and the rest are a bit further away. Look for Soccer Mama to do her part as well as Papadora. Probably have to work the parking lot or concession stand but all of us at WPFC Welcome all the teams and parents. This should be one heck of a great weekend for South End Soccer.

The hotel choices in Fife are slim, and the best 2 are still not what I'd call quality establishments. We go an extra couple miles and stay in Federal Way. Especially at the La Quinta, their rooms are usually less than the 'special rates for tournament players' rates we've found over the years. And there's lots of food and activities close, including a Cold Stone. And the rooms are spacious so DD's don't get on CP's nerves too bad.

don't forget Marie Callendar's, good food, and Mickey D's next door. Of course Fife has that really good family restaurant just off the exit, can't remember name, but family always, always go there on way home from soccer up north. But Fife hotels a little scary, like La Quinta best, and they welcome pets. For less than $100 La Quinta have mini-suite with separate DD TV. Nosoup can't take too much Lizzie McGuire, makes Nosoup nauseous,,,, not as much as SpongeBob though,,,,

you mean the "poodle dog" nosoup? :D

best place to stay would be the new courtyard by marriott in downtown tacoma. it's closer to the fields than federal way. 2nd choice would be the sharaton downtown tacoma. federal way hotels would be next. don't stay at anyplace with 'motel' in the name.

hope this helps.

no, it's not Poodle Dog, I know where that is though, it's right off the Fife exit, right on the right corner, Mitzel's, just came to me. Great family place.

Federal Way is right next to Wild Waves, so when it's sunny and we have an extra day we can just pop over. Our team has always played in the Federal Way Blast-off. So we like Federal Way, and we're happy there. So happy cp's, happy dd's. And happy dd's score more goals and let less goals be scored, so we're actually helping by staying at La Quinta. Besides, we all stay at the same place and party together. And we get a deal, so it's all good.

I agree the Fife hotels are mostly truck stop hotels except the Casino which is newly remodeled. There is also a Shilo right off I-5 in South Tacoma. There is a Mitzel's in Fife and of course the Poodle Doh and Johnny's Dock and lots and lots of fast food as well as South Hill in Puyallup has everything you would ever want and just up the hill from the fields.
