Lollipop likes scrambled eggs with cheese and ketchup and a cup of spiced cider. But we have a 2PM game tomorrow so there will be a light lunch too. Lots of "jitters" time!!!
She doesnt get nervous. Infact, she wants to stay up all night.
Aint gonna happen! ;)  hahaha

Talk to you all tomorrow with game results. Ours should be a fun one. Last time we played Aanvallen was our VERY first real game ever at the Viking Cup. We tied 3-3. DD got 2 goals... one was the one that tied it up.     Proud parent moment. Heck... everytime she looks at me... its a proud parent moment.

Good luck everyone!!  Have FUN!!!!!!!!!

It's eggos w/sliced bananas and baby carrots for my DD.
She hates eggs, so we go for the peanut butter bar for protien.  Lots of water of course. Do any of your DD's hate to drink water like mine?  Ifeel like such a nag about it.

On the way to game I only ask her to work on one or two things during the game that I observed from previous weekend and other than that we crank up her favorite tunes on the way. Some games way far away like when we played you guys Miss America. See you again soon  :)

Sitting Bull, that's not uncommon. Some go as far as to not eat candy, chips, or things of that nature. To me if it's their choice, then support them and just be happy they choose to be healthy and play soccer.

Now I feel guilty that I didn't let my DD buy that bag of frittos tonight.:(  She even tried her best to tell me she wouldn't eat them until after her game tomorrow.

Well off to watch 'Ice Princess' with her before it gets too late :D

You hit the nail on the head with that Hefe. If I'm lucky maybe I'll get an "OK, Dad" from my DD once in awhile

My DD usually does the egg and bacon thing.  Then she does some juggling and footwork in the family room (the only time we let het really do it inside), any thing she can to keep the energy building inside her from blowing up.

Once in the car though, yeah, its look out the window and be very quiet. :? ........ then the butterflies start to grow in her stomach.   BIG BUTTERFLIES for the BIG games.

I don't get Friday night jitters. My games are on Sundays.  :P I have my "ritual" of getting read though. I eat carbs like pasta the night before and drink lots of water, so tonight I had pasta for dinner. Yummy!    I make sure I wake up 30min earlier than needed so I have time to become lucid LOL. I usually have French toast and eggs in the morning with water. I put all my gear together checking my beg it least 3 times before I leave knowing I have everything. On the way to the field I stick on my iPod and listen to my pump up music so by the time I get to the field I'm totally focused and ready to kick butt!

Oh and Sitting Bull, it's not uncommon for your DD to stop drinking pop. I've stopped drinking pop for a few years now and I've also chosen to not eat junk food. Occasionally I'll have some but not often at all. It's all a choice really.  :D

U11 DD loves to drink water...ever since she was a baby, milk and water were her "drinks of choice"!  U13 DD however I have to pin her down and force her to drink water!!  She only likes it at half time and after the game...but Dad and I nag and she'll drink some during the week.  Their favorite snacks are beef jerky and apples with peanut butter to dip it in!  Not worst junk food I suppose!!   ;)

My little X-ette loves the "energy muffins". Oatmeal muffins w/ raisins and buttermilk for the liquid. I Bake 'em 2 times a week. Think I am in the same boat as you CP's, DD quiet on the way to the game, but maybe it's because her dad is blabbing so much she can't get a word in edge-wise!! Her thing is that she will not don her jersey 'til she gets to the game. She heard that Brandi Chastain doesn't until she is in the locker room before the game.
