Recent Arizona ODP tournament
« on: January 24, 2012, 06:03:54 AM »

Interesting,... Have not seen or heard about the recent successes by Wa. ODP teams in last weeks AZ tourney. There were some winners, and runner-ups. These kids played hard and represesented our state with pride and excellence. They should be recognized in some way through this forum. A good amount of trophies and medals came this way when they returned. Congratulations, and job well done!

There are a number of boys who made the all-tournament team.  http://www.regioniv.com/odp/championships/odpc12-boys-allstars.pdf

Congrats on a job well done!

I see they posted a few more than last year for the boys, but I tend to be skeptical with their 'all tournament teams' due to the fact that last year the G97 team went all the way to the finals, played extremely well, had a great close match with CalSouth (as always) and not a single player made the 1st team, and only one made the 2nd team. Doesn't make sense. And some players in the G97 group are nationally ranked, and certainly ranked in the top with regard to region IV. Almost every single spot was filled with CalSouth and a good portion of the 2nd team was as well. Only one of the players on their roster didn't get on a list. Just doesn't make sense. We'll see if they've changed that practice once the girls' list is out.

Congrats to those boys that made the list!   ;D  :drinks:
