**DRAGON PREDICTIONS WK #6**
« on: October 09, 2005, 01:35:41 AM »

Well Here ya go, Dragon spend lot of effort to Bring you weekly Blah Blah Blah, So here is this Next weeks predictions:

DISTRICT 1 BLUE

(4-2-0) ESA  VS  (0-4-1) ECFC: Contrary to popular belief this will not be the easy "run away" game that ESA thinks it will.   ECFC will battle hard till the last whistle.  They are eager to notch their first victory.  ESA will be coming off an awesome last second victory that will have their heads still flying in the clouds and could easily been the GOTW.  ECFC will give it all they got, but this week it will not be enough.  Dragon says: ESA 3-0

(4-1-0) ECLIPSE T.  VS  (1-4-0) EXTREME: Eclipse will be riding high after the stunning upset of the Big Red Machine.  Extreme will not know what hits them when Eclipse comes to town riding a full head of steam.  The DD's of Eclipse will be hungrey for more and hoping to take sole possesion of 1st place in D1 Blue.
It won't be a high scoring affair, but it won't really be close either.
Dragon says: ECLIPSE 2-0

(1-3-1) CHIKA LOBOS  VS  (2-3-1) STORM RED: We all know how heart broken all the "Crazy girls" will be after today last second loss to ESA.  They will try to rise from the ashes though and give it all they got in this thriller.  Storm is also still riding high from last Sundays sweet victory.  This one will be a battle for sure.  Lots of heart and lots of action.  A must see for any CP.
Dragon says: STORM 2-1

**GOTW**(4-1-0) NWN RED  VS  (3-1-1) FORCE:  This will be a sure fire hit for game of the week.  The Big Red girls will not like the thought of losing 2 in a row.  They all feel they are #1 and want to prove it against the Force.  Meanwhile the girls from Marysville have something to prove themselves, now that they know that Big Red is beatable they will be out to "kick some grass", this should be one that CP's talk about all week long after the game.  Both teams will let it all hang out in this frenzied affair.
Dragon says: NWN 2-0

DISTRICT 1 RED

(2-1-1) SILVERLAKE  VS  (4-0-1) BADGERS: Holy Moly, can anyone put one in the loss column for the girls in gold and ? (what color is that anyway)?  The Badgers do not have a "perfect" record but still no one has been able to give them a "L".  The girls from the lake of silver will be coming off a rescheduled game (still don't know why) and they will have a long week to get ready for the little team that loves Wisconsin's mascot.  Won't be as close as the score indicates.  Dragon says: BADGERS 2-0

(0-2-2) ECFC WHITE  VS  (0-4-1) SNOHO RED: This almost got Dragon to choose it as the game of the week.  When you have two teams that play eachother that are both dying for a victory, Watch Out!  Fireworks will be flying in this one folks.  If you have time you should go check it out.  If you want to see what its like to have to teams give it all they got and play their hearts out, then this is a must see.  Dragon says: ECFC 1-0

(2-2-1) GLORY  VS  (0-1-4) ECLIPSE W.:  Another great battle between two hungry teams both coming off loses.  Glory has the better record but do not over look the power of a team wanting to notch their first "W".  Should be a good one for the CP's.  Dragon says: GLORY 3-0

**GOTW**(3-1-1) SPIRIT  VS  (3-2-0) NWN BLUE:  Well folks, Dragons pick for the other D1 Game of the week also features a team from NWN's.  Little Blue is coming off a victory that finds them very close to being up with the top teams in their bracket.  Who knows, a lose from the Badgers and its first place for the winner of this one.  The NWN girls are itching to prove their good games in the summer were no fluke.  Meanwhile you have the Spirit who are ready for action, coming off week 5's game of the week and into another one.  They will give the NW girls all they can handle in this hotly battled contest.  If you don't see this one, then your no CP.
Dragon says: NWN BLUE 1-0

DISTRICT 3 GOLD PLATINUM

(1-1-3) ALLIANCE GOLD  VS  (4-1-0) PATRIOTS:  This one should be pretty good.  The Golden girls are coming off an upset victory over EFC White, and know now that they can pull out a victory.  The Patriots bounced back after their 1st lose and came on stong in a solid victory over Reign.  This one will not be as close as the score.  Dragon says: PATRIOTS 2-0

(3-2-0) EFC WHITE  VS  (2-2-1) AANVALLEN:  This one has already been decided by the "curse of the Dragon".  Dragon has no choice in this one.  Dragon says: AANVALLEN 2-1

(0-5-0) AVALANCHE  VS  (3-1-1) VELOCITY:  Like Dragon says there is no more dangerous team then the team looking for their first victory.  Velocity is coming off a shutout game and Avalanche is coming off it's 5th straight lose.  Sorry girls, but not this week. Dragon says: VELOCITY 3-0

(3-1-1) ROYALS WHITE  VS  (0-5-0) CROSSFIRE L.: No need for Dragon to be long winded on this one,  read the comments on the game directly above.  Sorry girls, but not this week for you either (keep your heads up)  Dragon says: ROYALS WHITE 5-0

**GOTW**(2-2-1) REIGN WHITE  VS (3-1-1) NORPOINT:  This is the rematch of the year.  Both teams are hungry to prove who is the best between the two.  Last time they fought it out to a double overtime, PK victory for the Reign after countless PK's by both teams.  Both sidelines better have oxygen masks available (for the CP's) because this one will be a thriller and a battle till the final whistle.  Dragon says: NORPOINT 2-1

DISTRICT 3 GOLD TITANIUM

(4-1-0) CRUSH ACADEMY  VS  (0-2-3) CROSSFIRE AMY: Dragon does not have to spell this one out for anybody.  Crush girls "might" lose 1 more before the season is over, but Dragon doubts it will be this week.  Dragon says:  CRUSH 5-0

(0-3-2) EAGLES G.  VS  (4-1-0) REIGN PURPLE:  The Eagle girls will be looking to prove Dragon wrong and notch their 1st victory, they will play with a lot of heart as always and may even score this game.  The high flying though will be on the Reign's part.  These girls can score at will, and may be the first team to score 4 goals against the Crush.  This week though, it will be just enough to get the job done.  Dragon says: REIGN 3-0

(1-3-1) HARBOR FC  VS  (0-4-1) THUNDERBIRDS:  Wow, can anybody say split personality!  Who are these Harbor girls, they have turned on the afterburners and the season isn't even half way over.  The Thunderbirds better bring their "A" game to this one.  Harbor is out to prove that they belong in GT and belong among the best.  Dragon says: HARBOR FC 4-1

(4-1-0) EASTSIDE RED  VS  (1-3-1) EAGLES L.:  The other Eagle team did a great job today holding the Reign to only 2 goals.  They will need that kind of defensive effort again against the Gumby Gals.  EFC's defense stepped it up a notch and recorded a shutout against a hard charging Crossfire team.  The CP's better get ready for an all out battle in this one.  The Eagles "A" team is looking to prove something.  Dragon says: EFC RED 3-0

**GOTW**(5-0-0) ROYALS   VS  (2-3-0) DOSVEEDANYA: It had to happen sooner or later, Dragon is thinking possible upset.  The DOS girls have not played very well when playing the teams with lower records, but have came out swinging against the top teams.  The Royals are still rolling along, but only beat the T-birds 4-0 when it should have been a lot higher.  Who will bring their "A" game to this Game of the week.  This ones for you Rolly, Dragon says: DOS 1-0

Bonus Picks

(Each week Dragon's bonus picks will include picks for other U11 teams that we don't get to follow as close)

(2-0-2) CROSSFIRE P.  VS  (2-0-2) U12 EFC WHITE: The Porter girls will continue to put up a good show for the U11's Playing against the U12's in D3.  Dragon says:  CROSSFIRE 2-1

DISTRICT 5 U11'S

Both these teams (TIMBERS AND FC VANCOUVER) are also playing up in U12.  No predictions this week though, they both have a "bye" next week.

Well there you go, was that long-winded enough for all you CP's.
BTW-Dragon is finding it harder and harder to be un-biased in his picks since making so many new friends here on WPS

Oh well, enough talk.  Go ahead and let Dragon have it!

I think Dos will show up for this one...and play their hearts out!  We win when we play smart ... and listen to the coaches..not the parents!! (Shush Rolly!!!!)  But I have seen the Royals enough that it's not gonna be a walk in the park!  The Royals are the team to beat!  LCC I can't wait to see you again!!  You are awesome! Give us all you got!!~

Anyway, thanks for the "tongue in cheek" vote of confidence DRAGON!! You made me smile!!   [/b]

Dragon only take small bills please

Dragon think Rolly not want to pump up DOS too much for this one, Don't want to give Royal coach too much "bulliten board" material.  Dragon say don't worry, all teams have to lose sometimes, why not to the rollercoastettes

Dragon,

I thought you spent more time on research.  If you did, you would know that the Royals had girls in different positions yesterday.   Boy you sure don't have a soft spot for the girls on River Rd, you make them earn it every week and give other teams free rides......I suppose we will know when Saturday comes if you are right or wrong.

Bleeding Blue is what you do best    Dragon love CP's that support their DD team so much.  That is great :D
You know, you sound an awful lot like soccernuts from SP
Remember, predictions just for fun, plus Dragon feel bad for Rollercoaster.  Roller is super-passionate about her DD and Dragon thought prediction would bring smile to her face

Oh btw- research Dragon try to do, but Dragon cannot be at every game.  That why Dragon count on all CP to give wonderful re-caps of their DD's teams

River Road Girls will be prepared
« Reply #14 on: October 10, 2005, 11:12:30 AM »

Dragon -

This is my first post and I have enjoyed reading yours. The River Road Gals are just a great group of young ladies that are compassionate about soccer, combined with great coaches whose strengths and weaknesses compliment each other and a very dedicated group of parents and fans. When you combine all three that is a winning combination. When they played the T-Birds last Saturday the coach mized up the players in that the forwards played defenders, the midfielders played wings and even the sweeper kicked a penalty shot to score a goal so that is why there was a lower than what would have been expected score but they still out played and out maneuvered the TBirds so they are still a force to be reconned with. I predict these young ladies to go all the way and since there is still a lot of soccer left lets all have fun.

Dragon do not dislike any team, guess Dragon need to pay closer attention to Dist 3

Dragonkid even tryout for babyroyals once, but girls so fast that dragonkid scared of them and hide in the trees

Plus Riverroad is way far from Dragon Castle.  Good luck to your team this year.  Hope you post more about BIG BLUE

Soccermama & FC Royals 94 Blue
« Reply #16 on: October 10, 2005, 12:29:46 PM »

Soccermama...The Royals defeated the Thunderbirds 5-1 at Rainier Challenge in May and while I'm sure the T-Birds got better since then, I'm sure the Royals did too.  Based on that outing & the T-Bird's current record, I can see why the coach would want to try out different combinations while playing against a team they will most likely defeat such as the T-Birds.  I viewed the game results on the Royal's team website this morning and see that the shot count was an impressive 20 shots on goal for the Royals and zero for the T-Birds.  They failed to list the saves for the T-Bird goalie(s) on the site so its hard to determine if the goal tending on the part of the T-Birds or the lack of finishing by the Royals is what kept the score down to just 4-0.  Either way, despite experimenting and developing players during this match, the score and the stats paints a clear picture as to which team was the dominate force on the pitch that Saturday...with results like 20-0 & 4-0 (sog/score) I'd say keep experimenting.

Dragon dont think experimenting results to good outcome VS Dos.

DOSVEEDANYA is coming to play this Saturday, and if there is a lot of experimenting there may be a lot of "blue" tears

RRG's coaches are great, they focus on developmental coaching.  They know when or when not to try new stuff, that is why we are CPs and they are coaches.  I think you beat on the RRG's too much.  Every week you look for the upset.  The target is getting bigger, but as it gets bigger, so does the little girls desire and drive to improve.

I have nothing but respect for the "River Road girls"!!  In fact one of our very favorite U-11's is LCC!!  We can't wait to play one of the very best next Saturday! I hope it'll be a great game on both ends of the field!

Dist 1 picks

Sorry I only know District 1, could only guess on D3, so I'll stick to D1 only.

D1 Blue:
ESA 4 - ECFC 1
Eclipse 4 - Extreme 0
Chika Lobos 2 - Storm Red 1
NWN Red 4 - Force 0

D1 Red:
Silver Lake 2 - Badgers 1
Snoho Red 1 - ECFC 0
Glory 2 - Eclipse 1
Spirit 2 - NWN Blue 1

I picked a couple upsets and some minor blow outs.  Crystal ball might have a chip in it...might need to get it fixed.
