i think the wpfc gold team will surprise you and not to be too biased :lol: but i think the white team will be in the mix for in the silver bracket as well.

i hope you're right on your predictions for gold bracket - except for the final that ecfc is a good team and the last game we played was exciting. i would expect that if we both make it to the finals it would be another good one.

No I haven't, but then again, no one, aside of the 3 teams we played in a round robin last weekend, has seen our girls play either.
I do know that WPFC has some GREAT teams, I just think that the Green girls will do better than that. If they don't, then I guess I have to eat crow. No biggie. I've done it before and will probably do it again. It doesn't taste too bad roasted with the right spices :mrgreen:

ok, so they take out our Friday night game and give us 2 on Saturda and one on Sunday. If we do good, that would  make us play 3 games in one day!
Why would they make someone play UP TO 3 games in a single day for a 3 day tourney? Especially for this age group?Do they think we aren't going to do very well and won't have to worry about the girls being tired by the finals??? BTW, I can't remember if this is a 9v9 tourney :oops:

WPFC, SGESCThunderballs and Patriots Blue, since they don't play on Sunday, will be well rested by semis and finals. I am assuming they make it.
HUGE advantage over the remaining 6 teams that WILL have a Sunday morning game.
Besides the fact that I booked hotel rooms because of a FRIDAY game and now its too late to take off that day.

Aanvallen may have 3 games on Sunday! Still, that a lot for U-11. But I guess someone has to do it and we'll step out on the pitch playing with Heart and Fire the whole way!

You're too nice, Brat. Yes, the primary culprit is the team that withdrew, but you can't let the Tourney organizers off the hook that easy. Three games in a day is simply too much for U-11s. As for the schedule change, this would have been OK a week ago. But if it's Thursday AM when this call comes down, just forfeit the games and send a note apologizing to the teams that Revolution withdrew and you only get 2 games in pool play. That's far more considerate than turning the whole thing upside down at the last minute for all those other teams. Parents make plans and commit resources based on these schedules. It's one thing to move a game from 3:30 on Saturday to 6:00 on Saturday. It's another thing to tell the Aanvallen parents on Thursday morning that, oh by the way, you don't have a game on Friday after all, and oh by the way again, tell those families who didn't make hotel reservations for Saturday night because they thought their first game was at 11 that they'll be getting up at 4:30 AM for a two hour drive Sunday morning, and oh by the way again, Happy Fathers' Day.

Excuse me for asking what may be a dumb question, but if some teams are playing 4 games in the preliminary and some are playing only 3, then how do they come up with equal point scoring for determining who advances to the semi's?  Wouldn't the teams with 4 games have an obvious advantage, unless the scoring is averaged after the preliminary to a "per game" basis or something.  Like I said, probably stupid question, but just curious.    :roll:

Ummm  what happened to the guarantee of 3 games? I am hoping that Skagit will be working on this tonight. Most of us are still going up on Friday and the phones are working so if we need the girls then, we can get them.

Thanks Pollyana...knew it had to be something like that to equalize out the totals.  By the way, the new schedule still has a mistake.  :roll:  I believe it should be FC Aanvallen Green (not FC Shoreline Sapphires) that play against Skagit Storm '95 Red at 8:00 Sunday morning.  I sent Skagit an e-mail to give them a heads-up.  I'm sure Aavallen are all over this anyway.  In any case, Thanks Pollyana!

I knew Aavallen would be all over this...Brat go his post in before I could stop typing!  I wouldn't worry too much Brat, because it looks like they just mistakingly put the FC Shoreline Sapphires against Skagit Sunday morning instead of you.  If you look, that is the 4th game for the Saphires.  Like I said, I sent Skagit an e-mail to give them a heads-up, so maybe it will be corrected before morning.

Per the new schedule, it looks like we'll be facing off against one another on Saturday (at least our DD's will be  :lol: ).  Maybe loser buys the winner a hot-dog!  :mrgreen:   Good luck Brat.
