Teams that have not lived up to billing

DaveytheBeck- Since you live in Gig Harbor, you really aren't too far away from the FC Kitsap team headquartered in Silverdale. The BU14 Red Team has three players from the Gig Harbor area, plus another six from Port Orchard. A good team that is gradually getting better, looking to be P2 next season. The team also has a couple of big, fast forwards, one of whom is also one of the best U14 keepers in the state, IMHO. He hasn't been needed at keeper this season, so has become a scorer instead. Anyway, you would be welcome to try out for our team next spring. Perhaps you know the boys from Gig Harbor already on our team? By the way, how is your running going?

Thank you for the invite but no thankyou, I am really comfortable at where i am at right now with my team and we've bonded well.  I'm not saying that i don't like the team I'm on right now, it's just that I would like to be on the Green Team at this point but it has been an extremely hard road.

Running is going good and our next meet is our league meet (last of the year) in Tukwila somewhere.  I popped my ankle this practice (wednesday) and I have this meet on tuesday.  I hope taht I will be able to heal in time of this meet.

Davey- You sound like a mature young man who has your priorities straight. Many adults that read & contribute to this forum could take a lesson from your example. Best of success in any & all that you do!

Quote from: "cheese"
I really thought Snohomish BU-15 (Titans) would play P2 a little better.  They destroyed P3 last year.

Actually, the second round of 2004 Bu14 P3 the games were all pretty close nail biters.

This year, injuries to key (defensive) players have been a big problem with the Titans since June, with a notch of vaguely related morale issues.  It looks like Nov before they might get their full team on the pitch on the same day.  For example, this weekend vs EC White, both their keeper and back up keeper are doubtful.  Most of this season, they've barely been able to put 11 on the pitch, and some of those weren't not 100%.  Like most P2 teams, the Titans aren't deep enough in player talent to easily fill in for key players and keep rolling forward.

The teams I thought would do better this year at BU15 are the Timbers Red and Crossfire Brown in P1 and Vancouver Force in P3.  This too can change as the second half of the season starts in a week.
