Oh come now fella's (ladies?), both WPFC and EFC are great clubs with a great rivalry.  

Think both of your U11 teams will be there at the end when it counts

Last year the 2 clubs played a lot of great games together and Dragon remember reading bout a lot o great times had by both clubs and friendly bets and payoffs between the two. (just ask soccer mama and gumby).

Hope you two can over look the small stuff and build a friendship like last years CP's.......  If you have hard time now it will only escalate in da years to come

Not a problem big D, and speaking for myself I'm not having a "hard time", just trying to set the record straight so all CP's have the full story regarding the history of matchups between WPFC and Eastside.  SA is the one that seems to have his panties in a bunch.  :lol:

Sure GD I understand what your saying, but it is all about what have you done lately? I mean sure the Huskies beat the Hurricanes a while back but I'm talkin about NOW. It's funny you told me that your girls energy was down and I agree that happens. You never did seem to mention that perhaps our team improved. The results speak for themselves. WPFC and EFC met 3 times during the PDL First meeting (EFC's first or second game together as a team), WPFC dominates 7-1 second meeting mid-season 2-2 tie (about the time EFC is running the table at Rainier cup), last meeting 2-0 shutout. Do you see a pattern developing here? Do you think just maybe one of these teams is getting better? Give credit where credit is due. I don't mind being in 5th position on someone's list, heck that is a complement, but it doesn't make any sense that we have beaten 2 of the teams ahead of us in head to head play in the last 2 months and we are behind them. Thanks for hearing me out.

Huskies vs Hurricanes?   :shock:  Oh brother.  The 7-1 game was 2 months ago, not years, and it was our teams very first game together as well.  With that said, to answer your question as to whether or not Eastside looks like an improved team the last two encounters...absolutely!  However, after watching all these PDL games versus tournaments games, do you think we can really tell much from them?  In the PDL, players are always missing, teams are working with new formations and players trying other positions, sometimes it's a weekend after a tournament and the intensity is not all there, etc., etc.  It would be interesting to see these two teams matching up in a tournament.  Bottom line is that I think the teams are BOTH pretty dang good (as well as all the other top 8 to 10 or so teams) and could beat the other on any given day...like D said, I look forward to all the encounters we'll have in the future and all the side bets that big D mentioned.   :mrgreen:

I guess we'll just have to see what happens when the score actually matters, when it's not a PDL friendly but instead a game that is played to win.  Based on differing tournament schedules, I guess that won't happen until fall.  It will be fun to see how things shake out at that point.  See my signature line.

Let the EFC Red/WPFC Black rivalry begin!!!!

I want to say we really appreciate BC's rankings in the '94's.  The one thing you have to keep in mind is the 94's has a lot more history to go off of and the '95's are just getting started.  

it does not matter what happens today because the rankings cover a series of games not just the head to head with one team.  My team is below, I think three teams we have beaten, but you also have to take into account how we have done against others teams in our age group and how they have done against others.

That being said, for a ranking system, you are probably right were you should be for now.  Keep in mind it is for fun but there is a science to it.  Heck, how many times have you seen the unranked team beat a team in the BCS?  Another words, any given game, anything can happen.  Including that #1, #2, #3, #4, etc. team getting there butt kicked by a 30th ranked team.  That is why we play the games.  Do your (actually let your DD) talking on the field.  There is only one ranking that matters at the end of the season and it is a ranking of one.   Who won state?

Then we start all over again.

You are right on the money on both counts.  The 94's have a whole year under their belt, and I am much more familiar with the 94's as well, because I'm a 94 CP.  The 95's will adjust themselves accordingly, but it's early on for them, so you will see a lot more movement in their rankings.
You're also right about the 1 game vs. a group of games.  1 game holds the same weight as another.  You could beat the #1 team, and then turn around and lose to #25.  They both hold the same weight, so you would probably not move up much, depending where you were ranked to begin with.

Thanks to Everyone for the compliments.  I hope you have fun with these rankings, because I do.  I also know that they have been helpful for CC's to set up friendlies with like competition, which is really the main reason why I started doing them.
