Kent Cornucopia Cup
« Reply #7 on: July 07, 2006, 08:31:20 AM »

Friday's games:

Aanvallen 1, Avalanche 0
Dos White 3, Reign White 1

We're just leaving for the matchup between Dos White and Aanvallen.  These two teams scrimmaged once before with Dos White over Aanvallen 1-0.  Our rematch was cancelled, so this will be a good match with both teams wanting to beat the other very badly!

KCC does have scores from today up:
Bulldogs vs Nitro 1/4
Eagles vs Kent Fusion 1/4
Crossfire vs Orion 1/1
All Stars vs Aanvallen 0/4
BullDogs vs Eagles..... no score...... did they not play or both pull out??? If they pulled out, how do the points per game work?
Nitro vs Kent Fusion 2/4
Crossfire vs All Stars 3/0
Orion vs Aanvallen 0/6

GOOD LUCK to all the teams out there!

And the winner of the U-11 KCC is:

FC Kent FUSION!!!!!!!!

What a great day for soccer.
Lots of heart and fire and power and pride went into todays matchup. Both teams gave it their all, but Fusion came out the winner, 2-1 over Aanvallen.
I hope we meet up again Fusion. What a great bunch of gals ( and the parents aren't too bad either! )

U-11 @ Diadora
« Reply #24 on: July 09, 2006, 04:48:08 PM »

I was at the Diadora tournament yesterday and today saw a few matches, including the Crossfire vs Force semi and the final between the Force and Reign.  Here's how it sorted out...

Marysville Force beat Crossfire by the score of 4-3.  Crossfire jumped to an early lead, even though the Force was dominating play.  Marysville fought hard and eventually went ahead to get the 4-3 win.  The Force team has great speed (especially #10), and showed lots of heart as they ran hard to every ball.  Speed and detemination are a dangerous combination.  I must also mention the fearless play by the Force Keeper, who's aggresive play probably prevented more than a couple scores.  This team was very impressive.  Crossfire is obviously a good team as well, but today the Force deserved to be in the winner's circle.

Marysville went on to play the Reign in the finals.  I believe the final score was either 3-1 or 4-1.  Again the Force dominated play and it seemed as though the longer the game went on the more the Force controlled the action.

Great job to all the girls who played through VERY hot weather!  ;)

SSSFC Strikers sleepy first game:('')  Strikers (0) FW Reign black(3)
Strikers(0) Crossfire Thomas (5): Strikers (3) NW Nationals (0):
Strikers (3)Emerald City white(1) not a real goal, ref did not blow whistle for free kick to start- reign player made goal w/o Strikers setting up any wall, ref had originally had hands up to have no play 'til he blows the whistle, goal not reversed. Should've been 3-0.('')

my appologies for earlier- someone was talking to me about their own results and somehow I did not review what I had submitted, ended up posting the conversation of the other half.

All the scores are now up on the Diadora web-site.  I know, I know, I can't believe it either....based on how fast they posted scores the rest of the weekend I thought we would have to wait until next week to find out who all did what.

Yes i to was at the diadora,as you knew i would be saw hard fought game between force and xfire wow wht a game ,marysville put there two best players in place and thats all it took. crosfire could do nothing! Took note of few key players marysville has one being #10 and short blond med and small but fast right med these three seem to work together. Tall blond defender i saw has a way with the ball. This team is to be one to watch out for.Long hard one how dose your list move around now ?you have your paws full, good luck!!  GO FORCE DIADORA CHAMPS!!!!
