After watching the U12's at Diadora this past weekend, I would have to say yes, juggling does help.

I saw a few goals made  from knees & heads. I saw alot more heading of the ball on the field and I did see quite a few players actually juggle with the ball past their opponents (using their feet).

Juggling certainly helps players to use all surfaces of their body to control the ball and keep posession. My DD has learned to control the ball much better with her feet  this season and she has been practicing her juggling much more than last year. She also does a lot more headers too (her favorite part of her body to juggle with). Just wish a defender could get a chance to get a hat trick  .

Absolutely.  This improves touch, technique, eye/foot coordination, balance, etc.

It is one thing kids can do on there own to get better.  Another is dribbling the ball around the house or out in the back yard.  No goal is needed for those things.

Younger dd can juggle all day long if she wants......fun to watch her play her games and try new tricks.  It took her awhile to get there- at first it was 5, then 10, and so on until one day she was off.

And YES it does help.....it helps with all aspects of the game.  The touch, the control, trapping.

using knees.... almost no limit! Without knees.... around 40.

It really does help them settle the ball.

juggling contests are part of every practice for our team. In fact we have a trophy that each winner takes home per week. Mastering that ball in the air is 75% of the game. Being comfortable controlling that ball gives a huge boost of confidence when the defense gets close. We make the girls take at least one off their head, one off each foot and the rest can be knees, but we do practice them regularly.
