Me and DD will be down at Surf then too!  Hope to see the Porter Gals kick some... well you know, goals.     Lots of them.

I will try and report scores from Surf while we are there.

With all due respect to the teams that are playing;  the Crossfire Challenge is looking like a huge disappointment this year.  Where are all the Top 10 teams playing next weekend?  I totally agree that Yakima and Reign Purple should be in gold.  If Blue Chip's rankings are even remotely close, how do two teams ranked around 10th best end up in silver, while a couple teams ranked well below 20th end up in gold.  Hopefully it's not too late to reshuffle the deck.

Crossfire must be confused by the name changes.  Yakima Incansable played in Crossfire Challenge Gold last year as Yakima Blazers and they tied Cross-Amy and Eastside FC Red!

Maybe it not have anything ta do with Crossfire Schedule person, maybe it teams playin where coach ask ta play

and Maybe da name change fo Yakima did throw some peep's off, don't know :?

Maybe someone from Crossfire tournament write us and tell us how decisions made for teams ;)

Or someone that has done this job for any tournament, that way we all understand the process

I dont beleive I requested any level on this tournament when I filled out the paperwork.  So doubt its a coaches request.
Im baffled by some of it but have no complaints where we are.

GU12 is a mess.  They rejected our club, CB United, informing us by letter.  We made alternative arrangements (River City Cup), and then to our surprise, the Crossfire tournament director scheduled us to play!

CB United will NOT be attending.  No idea what they plan to do with the "silver" bracket.

Incansable
« Reply #26 on: July 17, 2006, 02:21:14 PM »

The Yakima Blazers were a hand-picked, all star tournament team.  Incansable has many of the same players, but it will be slightly weaker, possibly, since they are using their team that was assigned to them by the association for Fall District play.  They are still really good, though.

Maybe the CF folks wanted to have two strong divisions?

That is an incorrect statement.  The Yakima Incansable and the Yakima Blazers are the exact same team. :)
