This week did not have as large of a response as the week before (due to no tournaments), but all the nominations were quality.

If you didn't win this week keep tryin and playin hard.  Someone out there will notice and tell Dragon all about it ;)


Without further ado, the POTW this week is:

ASHLEY  #13  SILVERLAKE STARS!!!


This young super star geared up to play Dosveedanya Red this weekend with the weight of the world on her shoulders.  She had been feeling like she wasn't helping out her team over the last few weeks.  Her performance at Baker Blast was not at the high level she holds herself too and she has been down on herself emotionally ever since. Her coach and parents always reassure her that she puts herself under too much pressure.  She is her teams main goal scorer and has been for years, yet as the competition her and her team seek out get tougher and tougher, she is finding it harder and harder to find the back of the net.  She always feels her teammates depend on her and she simply trys too hard to please everyone.  She had a long talk with her coach before Sat's game and they agreed to just concentrate on being a great "teammate and friend" as she could be, and most importantly Smile, Laugh, and have Fun.  Well it worked!  She went out and played some of the best soccer she had in a long while, and guess what?  She had fun, smiled, and laughed.  She scored both goals in Silverlakes 3-2 loss to Dos.  But this young super star found something out there on the pitch this day that she had thought she had loss.  Some would call it her spirit or her love of the game.  Dragon says, put that all together and he knows what Ashley found again.  Its called Heart & Fire!!!  Great job Ashley, remember you have a ton of games left to play little superstar, and they always won't turn out the way you want them to. But, you will always have your friends and family, and of course your Heart & Fire will burn brightly your entire life.  Dragon is proud of you!!! :mrgreen:  :mrgreen:
 




How bout a nice WPS round of applause fo this tremendous little super star who has once again fell in love with the game she is so good at. :mrgreen:

There is no doubt that as the players get older, they will face even stronger players. Ashley, good for you to find it in yourself to rise to the challenge and play with even more heart and fire, for yourself, your coach and your team!  Way to go!

Ashley this effort is HUGE!!!  Always remember that soccer is a team game and that there is always going to be players that are better than you.  If you continue to work at being the best player you can by your control, the best teammate within the team structure and take in all of the support you have from friends, family and coaches--your day to day improvement as a player will continue to grow.  You will turn into one of those players that are better than most.  Again GREAT JOB and good luck down the road.
