Whose DD is playing up this year?  And what are your plans for the future? Are you going to continue playing up or stay at U11?

I see lots of talented girls playing up this year, it would be nice to get them all on a team next year.

Honky, I'm surprised you need to ask, why not get a roster from all of the teams and google the rest?

Cindy, Im sorry your DD is not good enough to play up.  Don't be hatin'.

Geez...ask a simple question and get an snotty answer from someone that wouldn't have the guts to talk like that to your face.

:) There are entire teams playing up at Xfire. Royals, EFC, and some of the Crush team is also. They are the making of next years teams. There are even some girls playing on the A teams and those if they are good enough will continue, probable, to play on the teams they are on, though usually they end up becoming  next years A teams leaders.
Putting the best together will happen when they reach ODP age or so they say. Until that time I feel the everyday competition from the other girls that our DD's play against will get them better than if they all end up on a team that is so good it does not have any competition. ;)

The list would be too long to type out.
Almost every team has at least 2 if not 3 players playing up.  Some clubs have entire teams as stated above.

My guess is that about 90% will play U11 next year unless the format changes (like 9 -v- 9 a side).

My DD plays up and has from the time she was 5.  Next year she may play at age so she can return to the field more.  She does a great job at keeper but is not liking givinh up so much field play but can not compete in the field with top notch U-12's.  The problem is if she played at age next year she would be playing with 6th graders and she will be in 7th.  Going to be a tough choice for her.

Dragonkid same boat.  Dragon think school and soccer have to become 2 seperate things if going to play highest level soccer.

My DD played on the Baby Royals last year and this year is on age.  She is in 6th grade and most of her friends play u12.  She is completely happy with this.  She has never questioned this or even asked for that matter to play up.  There is a mix of girls on her team this year some 4th graders, mostly 5th graders, and a few 6th graders.  They all seem to get along great and age doesnt seem to be an issue.  I would rather have my DD play on age and get more playing time than play up and ride the pine.

:? Sounds to me, you are a coach looking to get a little insight on who you can get for your tryouts next year. Since we both know the number of kids allowed to play up per team, and you said "lot of talented girls" you must know who these kids are , why not just ask their parents? :? .

Good points there.  for her the issue of grade is a big one.  I will not be coaching next year so we will let her decide.  It will really come down to whether or not she is all right playing full time keeper or not.  I think she really wants to get back on the field.

Big Mac plays up.  She's a fourth grader.  Everybody else on Dos is 5th or 6th grade. I'd love to see her play at her own age next year...but it'll be up to her.  She has made many wonderful friends on her team this year...I think it's be tough decision! :|
