It was a awesome weekend for our club.

I didn't know our girls was in the 3 V 3 until someone said they had lost to them. :shock:  :shock:  :shock:  :D  :D

It is a traveling tournament and the top 4 teams from the age bracket advance to nationals. I took a GU13 team up there this weekend and we ended up in third. Half of my girls were from my Lightning team, 2 from Fury & 1 from our A team. Lost 2-1 to a good Eastside GU14 team in the semi-finals. Eastside beat an SSSFC team in the finals 5-1, although I think the SSSFC team was a bit older than U14 from looking at their size. They did not have enough teams in our age bracket, so they mixed us in with U14-U15's, if I am not mistaken. Our record was 4-1, with our only loss coming against the champions

Anyway, we still got an invite to attend Nationals next year in 2007, but since the tourny is in February it might be hard for Select teams to attend. Our state cups are generally going on then and we hope to still be in it in mid-February.

With all that said, It was a very fun tournament and hope that it becomes more popular by next year. The entire team had lots of fun, including the parents.
