How can Striker's lose to xfire B, but then tie Eastside???????

That's an easy one.  Xfire B scored more points and Eastside-Strikers didn't score any goals against each other.

Its one of the fundamental principles of little kids soccer, but also holds true for the older ages as well.

Looking forward to the Nike Challenge Semi final tomorrow.  Crossfire A vs Crossfire B.  Should be a good game to watch.  That's if you're not too stuffed after over indulging on Wagyu Steaks at Canlis ;)

Maybe Crossfire will have to think about renaming their teams to the A1 & A2 team.

Sounds good to me, because that would get me off the hook with Mufasa!  LOL!     By the way, Mufasa and I have been PMing regarding the deal, for those that think I really never intended to pay up.

Obviously a club like Crossfire gets a lot of talent showing up for tryouts..so, I'm wondering if Crossfire attempted to split all that talent they had into two semi equally great teams (as some clubs were at least "considering" doing this year), or whether do they truly consider these two teams like a tier 1 and tier 2.  Regardless, it's apparent that any team going up against this B-team better be ready to play or they'll get beat.    It certainly will be interesting to see what the score is in this A1 vs A2 matchup this morning.  If I was as smart as the rest of you CP's, I would have made the Crossfire and WPFC B-teams exempt from the deal I made with Mufasa.

First question, they didn't.

Final score was 6-1 Thomas.  First goal was an own goal.  Next was a PK after accidental handball in the box.  2-0 at half-time.

Thomas scored first in the second period.  Schmetzer quickly responded with a good break and goal.  The game stayed at 3-1 for a bit and then Thomas really got rolling and scored 3 more before the final whistle.

Schmetzer was outplayed today, but certainly had a great showing this weekend.  They also had a heck of a lot of fun.

And that's what it's all about!    Girls should be proud of themselves.  Looks like the final could be a good one!

Auburn Strikers
« Reply #66 on: July 31, 2006, 09:40:59 AM »

I don't think it is quite fair to call the Auburn Strikers a rec team.  They have been playing up for two years, so they could be at 11-aside.  They switched associations so they could "keep their team together."  When watching them play, they have at least 6 very strong players.  Team Auburn can comment, I suppose.  Great team, however you want to call it.

I think calling the Strikers a Rec team is a tongue-n-cheak comment.  I hope they don't merge into a PDL club.  They are the only fair bench mark of PDL clubs and non-PDL clubs.  Plus, everyone loves a rebel.

Congratulations Mufasa! You pick both Crossfire and Southside to win gold. You pick Crossfire B to make it out of bracket and no one thought you sane, but you right

Auburn Strikers not eligible for PDL cuz no "A" License DOC, history of PI placement, select teams from U11-on up, etc., right?

You forgot to add "and no club".  It's amazing we ever find the right field without all those layers of extra management.
