Author Topic: Way to go Washington team in the Lake Oswego Nike Cup!  (Read 591 times)

Way to go Washington team in the Lake Oswego Nike Cup!

I just thought the teams from washington really made a statement down in the Nike cup this weekend.  We should all be really proud of our teams.  This was a tournament that had quite a few California teams in it you would think they would be used to the heat!   Congrat's to:

GU-10  F.C.  Crush Academy '96  -  "Champions"
GU-11  F.C.  Crush Academy '95  -  "Champions"
What a great statement for this club!!!
GU-13  FWU Reign Purple '93  -  "Champions" (from what I have heard this team even beat the Oregon state champs!)
GU-13 Silver divsion  F.C Vancouver Allegiance "Semi-Finalists"

Congrats to all these teams,a well played tournament in really hot weather!!!!!

as we were walking to the field to play one of the California teams our parents said something about the heat. The coach of the Cal team looked over and said; "hot ? this isn't hot, this is just right". It was 107 down on the turf field. Our coach measured the actual field temp at 116.

And I could swear I never saw their team sweat, our kids were drenched, from sweat and from being sprayed with the ice water we put in spray bottles.

But even though it was hot, kudos to all the SW Wash teams this weekend in the heat. CPSC Red GU-13 won their division. Nemesis 93 took 2nd at the Beaverton Cup and FCV Allegiance brought home a 2nd place trophy in their division.

93's ROCK !!! Looking forward to XFire this weekend !!!
