Well CP's this has had to be one of Dragon's most tuff time of doing POTW since he been doin' it :oops:
SOOOO many nominations that it was very hard ta pick just one.
Starting this week Dragon gonna add an additonal section to his POTW, Dragon is including a "Tip of the Tail" to every player of the week post. This will be fo gals that deserve an "honorable mention" for their hard work and play. Several gals not only got nominated by their parent and/or team-mates parent but, by others as well! It is these gals that have multiple nominations that (if they did not win) will get a "tip of the tail" from ol' D

BRYNNE #14 COLUMBIA TIMBERS BLUE!!!This young super star had a phenominal weekend at the Cascade Cup. She played with Heart & Fire the entire tournament and several CP's commented on how she is truely the motivator and leader of the team! Several nominations recounted how she scored 10 goals on the road to the championship including a hat trick in the semi finals! When she was not on offense she would go back and bust her tail on Defense! Giving 110% is nothing new to this young superstar, after playin' the most of last year at goalie for the red team she was moved to the teams second squad this year. Did this get her down? NO WAY! She has responded in a way that shows that she is truely a great player and lives and breaths the motto; "Playing with Heart & Fire"!!! Congrats Brynne, Dragon is so very proud of you! :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

MELISSA #1 EASTSIDE FC RED!!!Melissa had a huge weekend showing why she is one of the best (if not the best) Goalie for our age group! Helping her team-mates to the Championship of the Evergreen tournament! Melissa not only blocked and saved most every shot that came her way, but also in the first game was called upon by her coach to take a PK shot during the game. This young superstar is so focused on being the best goalie that she has not had to "try and score" for over 2 years! Did this stop her? NO WAY! She marched to the opposite end of the field and buried the PK into the upper left corner! She wasn't done though, inbetween games she participated in "Goalie Wars" (a contest that is played with 2 goals and 2 players only 18 yds apart), this contest for the most part is usually won by field players, but after winning all her matchs and shutting down the competition she walked away the "Goalie War Champion"!!! Her biggest moment was yet to come though; Facing a PK in the 3rd game she made a tremendous dive to get a hand on the shot and deflect it!, the shooter ran for the rebound and gave it another hard boot that Melissa jumped up to save! She quickly booted it 5-10 yards past the midfield where her team then pressed on offense resulting in a goal only moments later. What a great weekend for you little super star, Dragon is so proud of you and your Heart & Fire!!! :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:
