Thank you goldentoe for clearing that up.

No worries barney, there is a lot of confusion about that team and then a team comes along with the same name and confuses things.  LOL

They are also one of the top 5 teams in Blue Chips BCS Rankings at GU-11.  They are a GREAT team.

Thanks for saying nice things about us.  The girls (and M&Ds) that visit this site eat these comments up.

I think the whole lot of girls this year are doing very well.  Compared to years gone-by this is a very hard working and talented year-group of kids that will be seeing (and with the help of WPS) and saying lots of each other over the new few years.

I saw the MV Strikers '94 play at Blast Off.  They are a pretty good team that flys under the radar of most CPs.  I think we will see some great things from them this year.

Here is a question.  Has MV Strikers '94 ever met Marauders '94 in a game?

U12's right? Saw them play yesterday at Blastoff. Not terribly impressive as I had heard. What level did they play last year?
Not taking anything away from them, just not what they had been hyped up to be.

Not the same team.  MV Strikers are still in Maple Valley and they did okay in the final yesterday.  It went to a shootout.  They are playing Gold Klondike this year.

The other Strikers that is being talked about here are GU-11 but are playing in the GU-12 Gold Titanium group this year.  The are also one of the top 5 teams in Blue Chips BCS Rankings at GU-11.  They are a GREAT team.

I have a question... with so many teams that are actual 94's wanting to play GT.... why would a 95 team be allowed to take a spot in U-12 GT over the 94's?
This is nothing against the 95 team, I just want to understand how it all works...... OR doesnt work.

In D3, this is basically the second year that Gerd and Bill (D3 scheduling gurus) have worked to sort out the leagues with the Assoc. VPs of Comp & Registrars first.

The league name (GT, GE, GP) has become less important than WHO is in that league.  D3 is spending the extra time with Assoc representatives who in turn are spending extra time with club/team coaches to get the leagues balanced.

From their efforts, league play is better balanced and fewer changes are made to the schedule after its published.  Also, it seems to have fewer odd-number of teams.

Sand bagging and overly-aggressive coaches have suffered in the new placement methodology.  It's getting harder and harder for a team to play it safe and sandbag in a lower level just to insure they win their league.  Also, those coaches that think they should be playing at the highest level (all evidence to the contrary) are not getting their teams in; which prevents them from suffering all those 0-5 defeats as well.

The WPS site with its rankings, rationale and bla... bla.... are helping everyone understand who should be playing with whom.  Norpoint Americas should be playing GU12-GT.  If they are lower, then the system is not working optimally.

Thanks Rock.  And I agree about Norpoint. We want to play and should be in GT. Looking at what teams are left in D3 U-12 and where we finished last year... there should be no question where we play.  We shall all know later today.

What's the bla bla between you and Strikers '95.  Can your team beat them big time or what?

Rock.... are you trying to stir up trouble??? ;)

There is no blah blah about the Strikers at all.  My point was ... with so many 94 teams wanting to play GT... why would a 95 team get to be in GT before them???
It was just a question about brackets and it really has nothing to do with the Strikers.

We have never played them and have never seen them play.  But I have heard that they are a top team at U-11.

I'm rooting for both teams, but I think the Americas will have their way with the Strikers. ;)
